*Shakes head* Everton again.

Reading the The Athletic this morning, I don’t know what they are complaining about…

1) The admit the breach, they just contest the amount.

2) The budgeted for finishing 6th under Rafa, but then finished 16th and had to sack him.

3) The Player X (I assume Sigurdsson) argument is daft.

4) The Player Y (not sure who) argument is also daft.

5) They ended up selling Richarlson and Gordon for significantly less than bids they received in previous transfer windows.

6) The Ukraine war argument is unbelievable. Why didn’t they get another sponsor of comparative value?

It’s just rank bad management across the club. They are in a vicious circle of spending money on shite and paying to sack a coach when it doesn’t work.

While I do have an fraction of sympathy that their 1 charge, filed after Man City’s 115 charges, has been dealt with first, I also think they just need to accept it and get on with it and consider themselves lucky it wasn’t concluded last season.

The subsequent law suites by Leeds, Leicester, Burnley etc could prove more damaging than the points deduction.

Imagine, imagine, imagine…. That guy has some imagination.

The PL don’t want anybody to be the new Man City, as 115 charges against them shows.

Why don’t they look at a more sustainable club model, like say Brighton, on how to challenge the top sides. A club, who in the time Everton have been bobbing around the Premiership like a turd that won’t flush, have yo-yo’d up and down the leagues, nearly gone out of business multiple times but then got a manager with a clear plan, stuck to it and are now seeing the pay off of it?

Why wouldn't they want that to happen though. Why is everybody so scared of waking the behemoth that is Everton.

It’s the most bonkers of arguments (them, not you!).

The PL allowed the billionaire takeover, the PL allowed his dodgy Russian mate….. they made an arse of it.

The Premier League should be absolutely ashamed for punishing Everton when all they were trying to do was regenerate North Liverpool, provide people with jobs, ensure that little Dixienna got a Barbie convertible doll car for Christmas and rescue partially sighted street dogs from Moldova.

Why would anyone want to prevent the regeneration of an area that doesn't rely on any government funding?. Who would have a vested interest in it failing?. Local government has bent over backwards to help them and Peel were made up that Everton used that land because it meant that they didn't have to wait another 20 years sitting on the land waiting for a government subsidy to build a 5 floor office block. Maybe there's an imaginary gang of jealous kopites sitting on top of a mountain like the Gods in Clash of the Titans moving clay figures around to stop Everton winning things and progressing.

Why would the PL want it to fail when there's been about 10/15 new stadiums built in the top flight or Championshi since the turn of the century?

The stadium has been chosen over Anfield to host euro 2028 games so why would these mythical people in ivory towers as they say want it to fail, which then embarrasses the city, the country and organisers.

They've also said they are being punished for standing up to the Sky 6. So the league, who agreed with them and fined the clubs £50m now want to punish Everton for complaining about those clubs?. Doesn't make any sense.

These are grown men and women who come up with these scenarios who are probably normal functioning members of society then completely lose all sense of real life once they start talking about football.

The world of an Evertonian. A club who have ideas above their station because of their local rivals and wanting to stay relevant. Everthing based on dreamt up scenarios, conspiracy theories, if buts and maybes.

Watched a clip.of some fan channel on YouTube and they were hoping on about how fans shoul unite about yhis because it's so wrong and others are getting away with a lot worse etc.

Agree to a point but let's rewind a couple of weeks to our game with Spurs, were these guys up in arms over the clear and obvious clusterfuck that went against us? Were they fuck.

Add to that this constant narrative (not helped by Carragher yesterday, the Sky puppet) that the 'big six' should have been punished more for trying to leave the PL and their universal belief that a new stadium will solve all their problems and turn them into the greatest side the world has ever seen, yeah right, how did that work for other clubs?

Fuck off and then fuck of some more, soft twats should be thankful they got off relatively lightly in a season that they should be able to cope with the deduction.

If there was a conspiracy against them, surely the powers that be would have given them their points deduction last season or the season before.

You mean that doesn’t happen?

I thought it was common knowledge that’s Shankly, Paisley, Fagan & Houllier did all day now - sat on their cloud, drinking whiskey / red wine, smoking cigars and laughing at The Ev…

Or even the start of next season  - who would want to join / remain at a club starting the season on -10.

Given their Ok start to the season, they’ve got the best outcome. IMO, they’ll still comfortably catch at least Bournemouth…

It says Player Y has gone on to sign a new contract, which fucks the argument completely. It’s obviously Jordan Pickford.

Just think, if they’d have sold Pickford for just £20m, they’d be 10 points better off now.

Wow! he costs a little arm and a leg.

This is an untruth peddled by the media, people like Samuels et al (who have a vested interest in the status quo). The ESL was intended to replace the UEFA competitions, and the ESL clubs would remain in their current domestic clubs. The problem was the closed shop nature of the ESL and the impact on the domestic leagues, but there was never any declared intent to secede.

That was my assumption but he signed a contract in 2023, other than when he signed in 2017, did he sign one in between?
