I want to see us dominating possession seeing as we're at home and far superior to them. Too many sides have come to Anfield this season and out-passed us.

We need to get back on track. It would be fucking brilliant if this time tomorrow we're three points clear at the top.

It'd be a fucking miracle Ian. ;-)

Essential that we win this after Chelsea slipping up today. It's games like these that we have screwed up in the past when we have a chance to gain advantage against the teams we are competing with for places, so a win will be a statement that we are serious about challenging for the title this season and have the mental strength to keep the pressure on.

We really need to take this game to whu from the first whistle. No strolling around like against fulham, no pissing about with the midfield either. Its all or nothing now and we must put down a clear signal of intent.

Having said that, I'll take a scrappy 1-0 win in the 91st minute with the goal being deflected in the whu net off gerrard's bum!

Gotta love the league when a home match with West Ham on monday 1st December is the biggest game of a season of big games.

Prepare for Fergie sticking his oar in, trying to wind us up saying we haven't been in this postion before, hoping we'll choke.

It's true we haven't been here for a long time but we're here now with a good squad and our best chance in years. it's up to us all to take it. I'm bricking it 17 hours before the game. Can't imagine how crazy anfield is gonna be tonight.

It kicks off at 7am here. I work near Crown Casino, gonna get up early and head there, hopefully it's on somewhere.

I'd like to see that team.

I think Rafa is too stubborn not to play Dossena in place of Aurelio, there has been talk of Agger at left back and play sami alongside carra. it's defo an option but Rafa signed Dossena and I think he'll give him time at left back. That said if he doesn't play well tonight he could be finished. If he has a good game and we win all will be forgiven. Arbeloa, carragher and Agger pick themselves.

Midfield is interesting in that we have lots of options. I'd like to see Babel given a chance either upfront or on the wing and I don't think we need Mascherano to start. Play Gerrard and Xabi in the middle and Riera on the left. I get the feeling that benayoun may play on the right or he might play kuyt out there with gerrard behind keane. I haven't seen much football this season but from what I've read Keane is more effective when someone is up front with him and kuyt has been scoring goals when he's been up there so it would seem the obvious choice.

God knows what Rafa is thinking but as ever i think he should play his strongest available team and i think it's the one above.

We should win this one. I would imagine Zola is gonna come and try and play football if his managerial style is anything like his playing style. we've had most of our trouble from trying to break down teams that come for a draw. I think Fulham played with two up last week but one of them prob dropped into midfield when they hadn't the ball.

I think it's gonna be a nervous night and the longer it stays nil all the worse it will be. An early goal is always good but a second goal to kill them off will be crucial.

I'd be delighted with 2 nil but I think it's gonna be a rollercoaster and we'll win 3-2

Babel has been pushing his case for a chance to play through the middle and I would like to see him given the opportunity to show why he thinks he deserves a shot at it. I can't see Benitez changing playing him on the right and Riera is playing well enough to keep his place on the left.

I would play Kuyt up alongside him rather than Keane as I think that, this season, Kuyt has looked more of a threat through the middle, plus he'll get in amongst their defenders and make a nuisance of himself. I think he helps make space for others when he plays there, although his inconsistent first touch gets found out a little more as he doesn't get quite as much space to operate in.

Benayoun on the right, Riera on the left, Gerrard & Alonso in the middle as Mascherano looks like he needs a break.

That's what I would like to see, but I don't think that's what we will play. Pretty sure that it will be Keane up front with Gerrard in behind, Kuyt right, Riera left, Mascherano/Alonso centre.

Looking forward to this game so much and if the boys are not fired up for this one they never will be.

It just has to be 442 and with Kuyt and Keane up front.

Keane Kuyt

Riera Alonso Gerrard Benayoun

The back picks itself with only Dossena coming in. Just looking at his name on the team sheet worries me but we should cope.
