I don't think that was a dive particularly, not like Pires sticking his leg out sideways to get contact. Gerrard's running through at pace, if Friedel had'nt come for that Gerrard might have shot instead of poking the ball past him. If Friedel comes and gets the man as he did it's a foul. Gerrard doesn't have to get out of the way.

It's been variable in this game as well. A couple of times he's killed the ball with people surrounding him, which is great. At other times it's bounced off him with no-one around him. That's just Kuyt.
