Not fussed whether he misses this or the Leeds game.  The Greek is a top notch replacement and chances are he would have been rested for one of these games anyway.

He misses 3 games. The PL site have him down as missing Leeds, Leicester and Chelsea.  Its fairly crucial he misses this one.

Fuck , thought he was on a one match ban.  Mind you I'm sure the FA will be giving Kane a similar punishment retrospectively

The FA was planning to do exactly that, but then Sir Harry intervened and made them aware that it wasn’t actually a foul since he won the ball fairly from that little scottish nuisance.

He doesnt miss this Leicester game in the EFL Cup. Bookings and suspensions only apply to the competition they are earned in. Robbo missed the visit to Leicester on 28 December.

The PL link says he misses Leeds and the away trips to leicester and chelsea. He might as well play in the EFL tie as he wont be playing again until 9 Jan and the FA Cup at the earliest.

So does he miss one game like they said on sky? I though a straight red was 3 game ban?

Robbo is definitely suspended for Wednesday - The first of 3 matches, so this game, Leeds on Boxing Day and Leicester away on the 28th. It's just yellow cards that are not carried over from the Premier League to the cup competitions, and vice-versa.

From the link posted earlier in the thread - PremierLeague.com:

Andrew Robertson (£7.1m) was shown a red card following a VAR review for a foul on Emerson Royal in Liverpool's 2-2 draw with Spurs.

He serves the first of his three-match ban in midweek when Jurgen Klopp's side host Leicester City in the EFL Cup quarter-final.

He will then miss the visit of Leeds to Anfield in Gameweek 19 and the subsequent trip to Leicester in the Premier League.

While we're all cry-arsing about what Covid has done to our squad, does anyone know what's the state of the squad who were unable to put a team out for their last two fixtures?

Fully rested no doubt and covid free. Leicester, United and a few others have had a lovely winter break. Wankers all of em

The more I think about things the more I believe Klopp wants to keep the momentum running. We are notoriously poor after breaks so I think he may favour continuing as long as he can field a half decent team. He seems to have more confidence in his squad than most of us fans do.

Correct - as stated yesterday....Red card suspensions carry across all domestic competitions.

Momentum though when your midfield and VVD is missing. Spurs kept tearing us a new arsehole through the middle whenever we lost the ball. A 17 year old a 35 year old and a Kieta isn't keeping momentum its severly weakening your side. Id play the under 5s tomorrow and I bet we'd still end up with more yellow cards and fouls given against.

Conte actually said they hadn’t trained for two weeks before kick off. Not one single session.

Well he's a fucking liar then.

As annoying as seeing the shiteating grins on Vardy and Rodgers face it's got to be the kids in for tomorrow surely. 2nd time in a few years having to effectively give up on the competition because of covid/FA refusing to step in. The 2 games in 48hrs and still not knowing if we will have Salah and Mane for Chelsea is a piss take. I really think that Egypt and Senegal are going to play silly bastards, think its why they are leaving it so long.

Ots bad enough holding a month long tournament bang in the middle of the season but forcing clubs to release players early is nuts
