Chelsea (h) 26/09/2018 - Carabao Cup

If we're being honest, it's a shit outcome.

We played a team that's rarely featured with a few additions here and there against what felt like quite a strong Chelsea side. We should have been out of sight before the Chelsea additions came on to the pitch, we weren't and that outcome was always a possibility.

I still think both goals could have been prevented but a good lesson for Liverpool B: Don't parry it out into the middle for a tap, take a player who has fantastic dribbling drills down before he's anywhere near the penno area. He's a craftsman at conning freekicks so give it to him early.

Chelsea on Saturday will be a great test for us to measure where we are at when we're 100%. And again with Napoli. It's sad to be out of another cup but we're still top of the league and have just bossed PSG in the CL.

Heads up, plenty of things to win.

That's some public bollocking for Shaq. Hopefully he'll learn from it and represent us better in more important tournaments.

It’s mental.  I don’t understand how that helps anyone.  He already subbed him at half time on the weekend and he was still flying in this game.

Moreno is fucking braindead but Keita needs to be doing more there.  When Keita doesn’t cover the inside Moreno is always going to get sucked in.  He just isn’t there defensively for me yet.  You can’t play him in the games against the better sides.  To that knobhead who was saying Van Dijk is overrated.  Watch that fucking centre back pair and wake the fuck up.  We are in equally as bad trouble if Robertson gets injured as much as Van Dijk.

Robbo and VVD would have stopped that goal

Gutted to lose our perfect record like that. It was all going nice and easy up to that point. Friend is a useless cunt

Ah well, I’m over it.

It's the League record that counts

Klopp was raging at Shaqiri at the end there, Benteke style.  Thought it was harsh.  He was the best player on the pitch by a mile.  He ran his arse off as well and at the right times.  Something obviously positionally must have been doing his head in.  I don’t like it though.  He wouldn’t do it to Keita.

It was the chance on goal, he was saying "shoot!".  Think he's annoyed that we spurned good chances that cost us.  Shaq looked a bit shocked which is a shame he played brilliantly overall.

Very poor from Klopp. He should save his bollockings for the useless cunts that have cost us far more important games and there was a few of them playing today being as useless as ever. At least XS looks like he cares, piss poor move humiliating him like that.

I hate Mingolet. I hate his head, I hate his goalkeeping,  I hate his weakling longkicks that barely scrape over the half way line, I hate that Hazard knows he can score against him anytime he wants. If losing tonight means we never see in our shirt again then I'm content.

Maybe a bit of confirmation bias at play but I'd like to see Hazards goal from the other side, no where near the corner and from that angle it should be hitting him flush in the stomach if he's positioned like a real goalkeeper.
