He said he wanted three keepers pushing each other, if he plays Mingolet (which I suspect he will), ...

He just doesn't seem the type to use line-ups to make statements, like a mourinho, for example.

True, but playing Lovren would undoubtedly be making a statement.

The statement was made after 30 minutes against Spurs. But, Klopp may very well still keep them both in the team.

I'm pretty confident we will bring in players in January - but, the only option he as now is to work with what he has. Gomez may start - but, he is still going to need Lovren at some point. I think we would all like Ward in - but I can't see it happening.

I'd think;

Mignolet

TAA Gomez Matip Moron

Henderson/Milner

Sala Gini Firmino

Sturridge

i'd like

Ward

TAA Gomez Matip Robertson

Can/Milner

Salah Firmino Oxlade

Solanke

He's going to pick this team tomorrow, and we're going to shite, and we'll be here remarking how shite we are, and rinse repeat...

Mignolet

Gomez

Lovren

Matip

Moreno

Henderson

Milner

Wijnaldum

Oxlaid Chamberlain

Firmino

Salah

Even allowing for injuries we simply don't deserve to challenge for the title or even top 4 for allowing picking a team like that to be a possibility.

It is a damning reflection on our ambition as a club

I seriously doubt Klopp will pick Lovren, perhaps even dropping Mignolet.

But if he does . . . .

When you have created a situation where the alternatives are a kid with hardly any experience in the top flight as a centre half and a journeyman who would struggle to command a place in a championship side i wouldn't be at all surprised...and frankly we deserve to suffer for such negligence.

Well, of course, we had it tough. We used to 'ave to get up out of shoebox in the middle of the night and lick the road clean with our tongues. We had two bits of cold gravel, worked twenty-four hours a day at mill for sixpence every four years, and when we got home our Dad would slice us in two wit' bread knife.

Hope we get beat.

Has Aston Villa circa 2009 written all over it. It's such a shit team overall.

Klopp doesn't read the press or listen to pundits. He's not going to listen to us fans is he. I can't think of any other profession where poor performance is rewarded so richly and with such loyalty.

We've got to be the worst team for getting rid of dross. Fucking Bogdan is still on our books for fucks sake.

The problem is the profession's way of dealing with players more than just our club's way. Poor performance doesn't lead to a drop or withdrawal of pay it just leads to a short spell as a sub or without playing a senior game or two, there is very real actual punishment for players. It's why outside of the ninety minutes of a football match I hardly give a fuck about it,its not worth my wasting time on it.

If Lovren and Mignolet do indeed start this one we’re fucked, there’ll be so much pressure on them now and neither really thrive on pressure, they’ll both fold like a house of cards. This could back fire on us big time but Klopp knows them best and sees them on a daily basis, if he’s not just putting them in to prove a point but because he can see that it’s affected them in a positive way then it could be the catalyst for them both improving enough we can use them until they’re replaced. Big big call this from Klopp. Maybe he’s had enough of them and it’s sink or swim time, if they fail this test they’ll be out the door.

In a way I admire his loyalty (Klopp) I was watching the Presser and they asked him about Lovren's social media stuff and he had to ask what had hapened because he really doesn't like it. He said he is human and I agree on that bit - online trolling is absolutely vile nowadays.

However I do think he should drop Lovren and eventually sell him but for the short term there isn't much cover is there?
