I am actually glad for the competitions onset- it ensures Houllier can not select either of the two senegalese misfits for a few weeks. Maybe they could organise a three-month long tournament on the otherside of the world for players born in Leicester and rid us of the nameless one.

It was the same hype for the league game. People saying that this is where Anelka will show Houllier he made a mistake (was same for Robbie aswell last season). And what happened in those games?

Anyone know if they are playing tonight? I was under the impression that they were supposed to be playing the Mancs away this evening. The fixture list on the offal says no game tonight, but the TV channel guide has full highlights of this evenings game on at 22:00. Confused, very much so.

Totally agree. GH deserves credit after todays match. Never thought he would dare put out such an attacking team, but he did, and it worked wonders! Its down to key players performing to their ability. Dudek again showed he is back to his best, and that we got the premierships two top goalkeepers! As mentioned before Carragher wes simply awesome!! EHD is showing that there is a lot to expext from him this season! Kewell, of the mark against Everton! And the relief and joy in Owen`s face really showed how much he cares! Walk on!! [%sig%]

Andy Robertson is the latest player to declare that he is more than happy to spend the rest of his career for the Reds.Last week Sadio Mane believed that there was no end in sight to the partnership of the the front three, and the left-back admits that he has had a change of thought in how he may like to end his career. The Mail (via The Lockdown Podcast ) reported Robbo as saying:“If you asked me when I was playing for Hull if I wanted to go back and play for Celtic, then I would have said that 100 per cent I wanted to play for my boyhood club.‘But now I’ve found my home at Liverpool and I love playing for this club. If I could retire at Liverpool, then I’d bite your hand…

Anyone know how to do this? I've got a brilliant idea, but don't have a clue how to pull it off. Basically, I need to download a clip from youtube, and then have it altered by putting people's faces over the existing ones in the video. Like that famous one of the footy players in the car dancing. If anyone has any expertise in this kind of stuff, send me a pm and I'll explain what it is I want doing and we can get cracking on it.

Daniel Sturridge is focussed on enjoying the feeling of team success and not looking at what lies ahead in his own football future. The 29 year-old is strongly expected to leave the club in the summer with future opportunities set to be few and far between in the seasons ahead. That is especially the case when you take into account the overall improvement of Divock Origi and the emergence of youngster Rhian Brewster who in all likelihood will get a deal of first team minutes next season.Having been a long time member of the Reds squad and experienced plenty of highs and lows on a professional and personal level in that time, Sturridge wanted time to soak up magnitude of the…

Virgil Van Dijk has played down the impact of Liverpool’s 2-0 defeat at the hands of Napoli in their Champions League clash on Tuesday evening. The Reds were looking good for a well earned point against the Italian side before a debatable penalty and a late strike in injury time by Fernando Llorente was enough to see the home side claim the three points. But Van Dijk said the defeat which was only their second in a competitive fixture this campaign, was not a cause for worry. The Liverpool Echo reported the defender as saying:“It didn’t feel like a wake-up call, I think both sides were focused fully on the game, It felt like it was going to be a draw, and then the penalty ch…
