Actually, that post was just a glib, throwaway thing; I probably didn't really mean it.  I'd much rather things passed off without violence, but if a mob of racist shitbags decide to start a fight with the police (because their primary target, the BLM protestors, weren't there) because they're driven to a violent frenzy by the sight of black people demanding equal rights... well, I'm unlikely to lose too much sleep over any of them that get hurt.

Agreed; I hope he recovers sooner rather than later.  Partly because I'm not really a cunt and partly because there's nothing worse than giving people licence to say "both sides are as bad as each other".
