Am i right in thinking that VAR only intervenes in clear and obvious errors, whereas this was simply a judgement call that VAR can neither prove or disprove? 

 

For me, it doesnt matter if Ronaldo touches the ball, Salisu has every right to apply pressure and is simply stronger.  Ronaldo topples.  But it's not a clear and obvious error, therefore VAR should correctly stay silent.
