I disagree with Klopp saying we don't buy players just because others do. If all of your rivals are buying/strengthening, it forces your hand to an extent.

 

The only way it wouldn't was maybe in Tottenhams case where they could say they are pretty much covered and have quality in every position- we clearly haven't

If we start the campaign with no new ball winners and Henderson as Captain I'm gonna be fuckin gutted.

 

Do you think it's likely?  I'd say it's unlikely, otherwise I would have thought Klopp would have gone after this type of player before instead of signing Mane, Wijnaldum and Salah the first opportunities he's had to spend big.  

 

He seems to prefer players with speed, technique and stamina rather than the big holding shit-kicker type.

I don't think there would be many people who would disagree that our squad as it stands is well, well short of the required depth and balance to put a proper challenge in and manage on four fronts next season.

 

It couldn't cope with three last season.

 

Lucas had to start loads of games at both centre half and centre mid - an injury or two at any time saw us need to shunt players around and play players out of position, we had a slow right footed midfielder playing at left back all season and at times our bench was made up of the crippled and the barely old enough to vote.

 

We have players who clearly have no future and we have the likes of Sturridge who of course can't be trusted and will let us down when it comes to the crunch.

 

So with those things in mind it is quite surprising that we as a club seem to be in no real rush to beef things up and whilst it is still quite early in the summer window I would expect if we were going to fix the holes we have that we would have done more by now......I can see us being just as light as last season and just as exposed - in fact more so especially given the injury prone nature of so many of our players and the extra demands they will face next season.
