we took a punt on Sterling anf got him from qpr for 1.5m when he was 15. Now he's  worth 60 squillion squid. It's good when it works.

The other thing that stood out, which we all know, is that we lack decent full-backs. Enrique and Kelly made Flanagan and Johnson look good -- they were that bad, although you have to admit that Navas is one of the best wingers around. I hope the stories about Ayre in Spain to buy full-backs is true. Otherwise, we have to count on young Flanagan.

 

Flanagan kept Navas quiet when we played them. Milner then came on and gave us some problems down that side.

I hope all summer while Brazil were at the World Cup Coutihno was working on his striking and finishing, it let him down last year. His rate even hitting the target was poor.

 

This fullback situation best get sorted and defenders drilled, the fact Suarez had a hand in 50 goals masked our utter fucking inept defending, Rodgers needs to get it together, he's got 2 centre halves there now that cost around £40 million plus what looks to be a couple of fullbacks incoming to compliment what we all ready have, if there isn't a marked improvement then I'll be seriously worried.
