I've watched the first three seasons. It's a bit formulaic in parts, but really well done overall and I always wanted to watch another episode straight away. Six episodes is probably the ideal length for each season.

Yeah it's definitely worth watching, just doesn't have the razzmatazz of the glossy american police detective shows.

 

Imagine Will Mellor and Neil Morrissey in The Night Of or True Detective, would be great.

Kevin Bacon is superb in a series written/produced by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck and directed by Ed Bianchi(although those credits may be mixed up!) Good stuff nonetheless.

No, my mistake. But they did produce an episode together as has Kevin Bacon. There seem to be lots of different producer credits though so I was a bit confused.

I *think* it might be a marmite show, but I fucked it off a couple of episodes in first time around but then when I went back to it years later it was just lovely. I don't think it grows so much as you just start to like the people in the show a lot. It's really quite charming.

I just watched the first episode of City on a Hill @VladimirIlyich. I thought it was really decent. Great cast, especially the lad from Kingdom. He’s excellent.
