How shit is Tim Lovejoy on Sunday Brunch , fucking woeful. Doesn't listen to a single thing the guests say and spends the whole programme with his head buried in the cue cards. I hate him.

I bet he's a right arrogant twat in real life as well.

Money Machine - Amazon

Documentary about the vegas shooting and what followed. MGM Grand suing the victims is as low as it gets. Outstanding documentary. Horrifying as well. 10/10

I've just watched this and thought it was garbage.

Demeaning, disrespectful, soon to be on channel 5. From trying to fabricate a multiple shooter conspiracy, to mob involvement, to commentary from the shooter's idiot brother, I just found the whole thing especially distasteful.

There's a film to be made of this but this most certainly is not it.

1/10

Opinions (1/10 - yeah ok) and yeah his brother was a clown but I found it very eye opening. I had no idea about the #vegasstrong stuff or the lawsuits against victims. Also wasn't aware of him gradually getting more and more pissed off with the casinos for fucking about with his complimentary stuff. Or the memorial spot being 7 miles from the site.. I could go on.

Where were they trying to fabricate a multiple shooter conspiracy? The people who said that were on the ground victims / witnesses who they interviewed. They pieced it together later on and explained the reasons why multiple shooter rumours were flying around and why people will have thought they heard shots elsewhere within the area.

Mob involvement? They were talking about how it was when the mob ran vegas in the early 80's.

You might be right about a film being made about it (which I would imagine being far more distasteful/disrespectful) and no this isn't it because it was a documentary not a film.

That Shadow and Bone new on Netflix has good reviews. Could be something worth watching.

I'm ploughing through Unforgotten, it's good but nothing special. The two lead detectives lack any semblance of charisma.

Seen the first couple of episodes. A couple of hammy extras apart it's decent so far.

There is a tremendous rant about his book by some journalist which is one of the funniest things I have ever read  , someone posted it on here a while back. Also read a piece on Soccer AM generally and he obviously featured quite heavily. Was more or less stated by several of the crew that he was an absolute wanker with people but they covered for him with the ' He's a perfectionist ' defence which made me chuckle as he's fucking hopeless at his job which seems to be a trait not unusual with people ' who don't suffer fools gladly '

Never forget when Martin Freeman took the piss out of him for wearing a Ramones t-shirt, something like:

MF: oh a Ramones t-shirt, big fan are you?

TL: yeah.

MF: name two members.

TL: easy, they're on the t-shirt.

MF: okay, name two albums.

TL: er, I can't.

Seaspiricy on Netflix. A single episode documentary about the fishing industry and the impact it's having on the environment, as well as looking into supposed environmental groups like Ocean and Marine Stewardship Council. I enjoyed it and I'd have preferred maybe some more depth or some  differing opinions. But it's certainly opened my eyes. 7.5/10.

I don't know the name of the programme, it was on TG4, an Irish language channel, but I've just watched for the past hour, a man, called Johnnaí Jimmaí in the West of Ireland build a currach - a traditional Irish rowing/fishing boat - from start to finish. A joy to see a craftsman at work.

10/10

For those unfamiliar with Irish Gaeltacht culture, family surnames in the Gaelic speaking areas of the West and the South are seldom used locally, with a convention for boys to be known by their first name, with the second being that of their father. Thus, Johnnaí's father would have been in turn called maybe Jimmaí Micheál after his father, and so on.

I totally side with Martin Freeman on this and he is right to call Lovejoy out for the hopeless cretin that he is here.  I remember seeing Beckham's Mrs (i think) years back with a Cult t-shirt on.  There is no way on earth she is familiar with anything by them. She probably thought, ooh i like the colours on that t-shirt, and that in a nutshell is why i hate these turds wearing band t-shirts. If its hipsters wearing Spice Girls t-shirts to be all ironic and kitsch, or women wearing 80's goth band t-shirts  in a vain attempt to look knowledgeable about music, it needs to stop, or be called out.

To be honest, mate, it doesn’t really bother me. Lovejoy has always been a dick, but in the grand scheme of things, he is a harmless dick.

It shouldn't bother me, really, but it does. I can't bear absolute phonies.

F**ty on the GF but Sunderland Till I Die on Netflix got binged over the weekend. 8/10

Also started Becoming Champions on Netflix. First episode is about Uruguay’s football history 8/10 again and there’s 9 episodes covering all 8 WC winners.

Sunderland till I die is brilliant. That Charlie is the biggest cunt ever to appear on tv and I’ve watched a documentary on the moors murders.

Yeah my mate had warned me about him. Amazing set up they’ve got. I’d put off watching it but got hooked.

That Honeyman got sold to Hull who’ve just got promoted and he’s up for League 1 player of the season.

Damien - A bit weird watching something that you know has been cancelled after one season but this was a real mish-mash of unnerving quality and absolute tripe. Started well, ended well, but there were three episodes in the middle that were just pure padding. A reasonably interesting concept where the first Omen film is canon and the other two are ignored, and Damien is unaware (at 30-odd) that he is the antichrist and then spends the remainder of the series wrestling with the concept of it.

Overall 6/10
