Suarez: Keep or Sell?

  1. 1. Suarez: Keep or Sell?

    • Keep him; he is nuts but he is world class and we do not sell world class players.
    • Sell him; he is world class but too much of a nuisance to our club. Time to cash in.
    • Not sure if we should sell him or keep him.

3. A club intending to conclude a contract with a professional must inform the

player’s current club in writing before entering into negotiations with him. A

professional shall only be free to conclude a contract with another club if his

contract with his present club has expired or is due to expire within six months.

Any breach of this provision shall be subject to appropriate sanctions.

5. Any person subject to the FIFA Statutes and regulations (club offi cials,

players’ agents, players, etc.) who acts in a manner designed to induce a

breach of contract between a professional and a club in order to facilitate the

transfer of the player shall be sanctioned.

On the FIFA ruling for arbitration they say both parties have to agree to it.

Although it a[[ears that might not be the case.

The problem going down that route is it would not take place before the start of the season.

It appears what has happened is Arsenal have triggered a clause which either allows them to talk to him or makes the club inform him of the bid. What it dosent do is make us let him go at that price and it appears Arsenal have been told a bid of £50 million and he is theres.

Now in recent days you have heard the figure rise because of the Bale deal and it looks like the reason for that is this. If it went to arbitration We will win but what would happen is the panel will hear Suarez say the bid is high enough for him and we will disagree. The panel will then put a figure on him based on the current values of players playing. Hence all these higher amounts Brendan keeps saying.

Arsenal knowing they have been the only bidders don't appear to want to pay the £50 million for that reason . It s a messy affair going that route and Arsenal are hoping we will cave in especially if Luis plays up. It s a risky game as somebody else can come in buy him.

If he hands in a transfer request basically means its between the clubs to agree a fee , but again it wont mean we will have to sell him. The reason for him doing it this week is because Arsenal arnt in the champions league yet so the clause isn't activated.

So basically we do hold all the cards to what the eventually outcome is.

I get the feeling Arsenal might not mind taking the long route as Suarez misses the first six games anyway ,so maybe there pre pared to get him in January instead.

If Arsenal just pay the £50 million we will sell him to them.

Arsenal are banking on us caving in the close to deadline day it gets as we will need to replace him.

The comments change little. We knew he wanted out' date=' and someone has to pay the going rate. More noise, more headlines and fuck all's changed.[/quote']

Exactly. We already knew all this. He wants out and that had been clear ever since he went away with Uruguay. An interiview wont change anything in regards to that. Someone, and preferably outside of England will have to stump up what he's worth and he's free to go. He needs to realise and accept Liverpool does not exist to do what's in his best interest, the little fucking cry baby. And we should also come out and state his price, and that Arsenal would have to pay 20m above that.

Screw him and his teeth. That interview was utterly disgraceful. Why for all the fucks in the world would he want to go to arsenal when we have roughly the same chances to qualify for cl if he stays. Fucking cunt I can't believe we stood by him for all the fucking shit he's done. And he has a goddamn contract for a reason, he can't just say I want to leave and leave. If bale is worth 86m we should at least be getting 60 + 5 for his fucking teeth.

Guess support from fans doesn't mean one hell of a shit to a player nowadays. He can go slag himself to some pit.

There's is no fucking way I'd let this rat get his own way. He has his little strop and a whine and cries like a little bitch so we are supposed to get screwed in the arse oooh were all about altruism. Fuck him don't let this little shit belittle this club. As soon as we sell him he will be all smiles and happy go lucky and arsenal will be smug as fuck.. No way. Flog him abroad and be rid of the fucker but don't let him have his arsenal move. We should say to the papers under no circumstances whatsoever are we selling Suarez to arsenal our own ambitions don't include strengthening them.

I'm beginning to think him biting players and acting up is how he thinks he can facilitate moves he's that fucking stupid,

Anyone remember the Gabriel Heinze episode. Didn't he even have something in writing, and yet there was the feeling it would be absurd for him to expect that he could move from them to us. Real Madrid, however, was totally different and that's where he ended up.

Suarez, his agent, Wenger, and the PFA should be reminded of this.

I really don't want to sell him now. I don't want anybody to think you can shit on this club and get away with it. No, fuck that.

He can surely never play for us again. Can we loan him to Celtic or something?

Bit harsh, that. Whatever we might think of him he doesn't deserve to go and play in the SPL.

I think it's kind of comical.

Takes one club to court so he can move, and eventually is able to move,

Bites someone at that next club, is banned, then moves again,

Bites someone again at the next club, is banned again, and could be taking them to court too. Mental.

Will be interesting to see what happens next, hopefully it won't drag on.

I think he's a right cowardly cunt. When he was away from here with Uruguay, every other day he was shouting his mouth off telling anyone that would listen he want's to leave. Then as soon as he rejoins his Liverpool teammates, not a fucking sound from him. All through the tour, comes back home, plays in Stevies testimonial, still not a peep from him. The all of a sudden he feigns an injury so he doesn't have to fly off to Norway and as soon as the rest of the squad is gone, he starts running his mouth off again. Honestly what a twat.

Oh and all this talk of honour, that's a fucking laugh isn't it. If he want's honour, why not do the honourable thing by handing in a transfer request and forgoing his loyalty bonus which he doesn't fucking deserve anyway?

Well I would say the club knew this was happening . Either the foot injury is a mythical one and he is refusing to play or it is real injury but we got wind of the interview. I don't think it s down to coincidence John Henry picked a pre season game in Norway to come and see us play for the first time in 13 months.

Suarez is doing this now to try and force the move to play in the champions league qualifier. Arsenal face PSV and it might be a tricky game. Arsenal might of shot themselves in the foot with that silly bid . As Liverpool have officially said They wont sell him to them.

The most I can see Arsenal going to is maybe £45 million and even that's doubtful.

This whole thing is about to start on a whole new level.

This reference to a verbal agreement is surely desperation. Suarez has a written contract for which his agent was paid handsomely to negotiate and go over with a jeweler’s eyepiece. If the details of the agreement were not included in the written contract, then it’s simply tough luck. Fire your agent.

The club know that verbal agreements – even if they were made – are worth sweet FA. If a player and his million $ agent are stupid enough to think they mean something, then more fool them.

Not sure how the club is at fault here in any way.

Encouraging from Henry in Oslo that he comes out reaffirming Rodger's position that Suarez is not for sale, not at least to a rival and for a pittance the Arse are offering. This episode is now really as much a test of Liverpool's will to protect its prestige as a leading club as it's holding on to our valuable asset.

Suarez would have really raised the stakes if as rumoured he faked his injury in order not to play for us again; in which case Liverpool have to call his bluff by withholding his wages. That would bring him back to reality.

Agree with this, and think we should go further and state what clubs he's not going to be sold to - assuming our hand is strong with his contract.

I can only recall the authorities getting involved with the fee in the case of a dispute over a young payer (under 23? Part of the Bosman ruling?)

As for this dragging on after the transfer window there was also an additional rule quoted in the Heinze case that if something goes to arbitration/appeal and the player is successful then they may allow him special permission to complete the deal after the window closes. Which will suit him and Arsenal fine in view of his ban.

So moyes supposedly has money burning a hole in his pocket. What would the reaction be if he stuck 55-60m on the table?

If they pay whatever our mad asking price is fuck it. This is about more than football, he should be got rid of now, he's not worthy of us.

No, but there should still be exceptions to who we offload him to imo.

If we end up stuck with him as a result I'd stick him in the reserves for a lengthy spell and publically remove the number 7 shirt from him stating his character is not worthy of it.

Maybe all those Suarez apologists on here might finally see the light now.A despicable little shit of a player(no matter how talented) who has made a mockery of this club and its finest ever ambassador by association.Maybe now those linguistic experts who claim the media has misinterpreted his words can finally accept that he is a lying, cheating cunt of a man and a player. The only surprise to me is that he didn't do the interview for The Sun newspaper to complete his disregard for the Club, its players and fans.
