Just seen the SSN interview outside the stadium, and it appears from what was said, that G&H haven't agreed to the sale, and the whole thing could go through the courts.

 

As if that wasn't bad enough (which it is) there would be no investment, just merely buying off the debt, which is a bad deal for the club.

 

I think this is going to run and run and run some more. Is there ever any end to it? :wallbutt:

That black lad on SSN is fucking clueless. Why the fuck would we care that the club is being sold on the cheap? It leaves more money available for investment and gives the hated twats nothing. Great news, i just hope we get what we deserve.

I would have thought that in light of previous experience their financial credentials have been thoroughlt investigated.

According to what I have read and heard across many press sources. G&H tried to remove Purslow and Ayres and replace them with Hicks' other son and the head of Hicks Holdings.

 

The board have agreed to sell to New England Sports Ventures who own the Red Sox. NESV have agreed to pay off the entire debt and from some sources build the stadium. G&H are putting in a legal challenge to retain control of the club and turn down the offer. I imagine on the basis that the board are selling against the owners interests.

 

That's all that I know.

G+H will not go easily. They will do whatever they can to sack/replace the board.

 

what i dont understand is why they were not able to remove those 2!

RBS? have we already been taken by bank hence the sale? if thats the case then the legal fight will happen after we are sold it wont hold it up!
