Right, I'm working on it now and looking to get it out for early July. It will defo be ready for the 1st CL qualifying round, but hopefully it will be a bit before.

 

It's going to be £3 & postage, but there's 8 extra pages than normal, plus the interviews with Carra and Mellor. The Carra one is very long, but fuckin class I promise you. You won't be disappointed.

 

I'm not going to put it online, so if you want to read it you'll have to buy the fanzine. If I was to put it online, 1) it would be put all over the net, and some of it would end up on skysports and then the papers. No-one would credit TLW, and the papers could make a big thing out of some of the things in it.

 

I'm sure Carra isn't arsed if they do, as he's happy for me to use it all and he'll no doubt stand by everything he said, but I wouldn't want to cause that kind of aggravation for him unnecessarily.

 

If the papers take something out of the fanzine, then ok there's nothing I can do about that, but I'm not going to make it easy for people by splashing the quotes all over the net. I'd say there's far more chance of some lazy hack stumbling across quotes on the net than actually picking up a copy of the fanzine.

 

There was some juicy stuff in the last interview he did but none of the papers picked up on them thankfully. I'm sure if I'd put it online they would have done.

 

I might stick the odd snippet of it on the site as a news item just to promote the summer issue, but none of the juicy stuff will be going on. I put something on last night about what he said about Smicer and Biscan

( http://www.liverpoolway.co.uk/news/news33.htm ) but I left out something he said about Vladi which was funny as fuck. That'll be in the fanzine though.

 

As for the rest of the issue, there's loads of articles about the final, and the earlier rounds etc, and although I've got a lot to do to put it all together I'm really excited about this one.

 

As for how you can get a copy, well I'll be selling it on the site, and it will be in WH Smiths as usual. Subscribers will of course get their copy as normal, and now there'll hopefully be three CL games before the season even starts.

 

I don't know how many I'm going to print yet, I'll see what kind of interest there is before making that decision. I'm taking pre-orders now though if anyone wants to get in early to make sure they get a copy.

Can I suggest, for the front cover, there perhaps be a picture of a silver trophy with jug ears?

 

I reckon each copy should come with kleenex as we all relive the European glory.

Reckon that's a good idea, although may I suggest going one further and having a pic of all 5 held up at the presentation.

Did Carra bring his medal?

 

 

He forgot it, but he rang his dad and got him to bring it over. Legend.

 

Got a picture of Carra with the medal for the front cover, and also got a close up of just the medal.

 

I got one of me with the medal round my neck and my arm round JC as well. It should have been the greatest picture of all time, except for some reason I look like a fuckin giant! I look like the fuckin Big Show, it's a horrible, horrible photo.

 

It's bad enough looking dead fat, but I also look about 8 feet tall and Carra looks about 5 foot. Dunno why, as we're the same height. Maybe the medal has magic powers ;-)

Also where did you do the interview with Carra? Was it in a boozer? At the club? At his house? At your house? It's not that important and if you can't say don't worry, I'm just curious.

 

Yeah, I send reminders out with the last issue of a sub.

 

Did it in a pub/restaurant.

The link is ok now, but I'm still unable to buy it. When I go to checkout, this is what I'm getting:

Dave, I'm really grateful for all the work you put in, no matter how much posters on here argue, we all have that in common. But you're a lucky b**tard too if you don't mind me saying. Can't believe you get to sit in a pub in the middle of Liverpool with Carra the legend and his medal, gassing the time away.
