Threads is a shit name. I dislike Twitter but it brought something new to the language. As did Google, TikTok and Instagram. Plus, if you have to have an Instagram account to have a Threads (urgh) account, what’s the fucking point? Loads will sign up then it’ll just have loads of accounts but not the many.

Surprised to see Threads trending at the top of Twitter, opened it to find it was tweet after tweet of spam and scams.

Something people are definitely going to fall foul of, especially those of you who have been banned from Twitter about 20 times - if you get sanctioned on Threads, it's going to nuke your linked Instagram account too.

 

Worth bearing in mind if you have a lot of stuff on your Instagram that you're keen on not losing.
