Caoimhin Kelleher

It's not really that shocking. He's probably only got 3 years at the very top. Seeing how all our other players have just fallen off a cliff at 30 it's probably safe to assume Alisson will follow suit.

We would get an absolute wedge for him. Maybe only get £30-35m for Kelleher

A top class keeper can stay top class until 40 these days.

I'm in the minority but I'd prefer to sell Alisson.

This is the kind of thing that cunt Ferguson would never get wrong

Mainly agree with the part in bold. As an example he bought Van der Sar when he was 35 and kept him until he was 40.

Also quite a few would argue that Ferguson did get it wrong from time to time, Jaap Stam was pretty decent for a few years after leaving.

You remember Massimo Taibi? Roy Carroll?

I was thinking this song would go down really well.

Good save our great Caomihn

Good save our man Caomihn

good save Caomihn

His saves are glorious

Reds are victorious

Links to his transfer are spurious

Good save Caomihn

Obviously to the tune of that anthem that doesn’t get sung.

A couple of years ago the penultimate line could have been

Kepa is furious

Big save at big moments, coming in at short notice. Credit to him.

Spot on.

The "Alisson would have saved that" brigade really need to dish out credit to Kelleher today. Microanalysing every goal he's conceded needs to be balanced out with some top praise when he has done very well.

He was dodgy as fuck on the goal. Take a big stride before diving and he saves that comfortably.

That apart he played well and looked a lot calmer today than his last few outings.

Yeah, his footwork was poor on the goal. Cracking save at a crucial time in the 2nd half though.

Bollocks. No amount of perfect footwork gets him near that. Unless he was already standing in that part of the goal, he isn't saving that.

That header was perfectly placed. No goalie is saving that, not even Alisson who also got beaten by headers from a corner kick and freekick in the past month or so (he didn't even dive when Gabriel headed past him). This is the kind of microanalysis I was highlighting. An unstoppable header being attributed as a goalkeeping error simply because it is Kelleher between the sticks.

Yes. You are talking bollocks.

Watch the goal from a front on view.

Agree with that. Very good goal by the Burnley lad.

He's a good goalkeeper who has the tools to be very good. I'd like him kept on because he is a really good number two - he had a very dodgy game against Fulham and in games has had dodgy moments but has done well for the most part. Fact is, Ali misses more games than most goalkeepers and we need to have someone who can come in and not shit their pants.

I actually think if we are letting him go, we have a buyback inserted.
