I'd go with giving Gomez a bit of a run at right back. Re-jig the setup a little bit so that the right-side centre mid gets more involved with the attack.

They said so? Were they speculating or stating it as fact? All the reports I am seeing dont mention 7 weeks at all.

Yeah on their YouTube I've video just before. I think they were quoting the guardian? It was the first I'd heard of it, and I was hanging out the washing, I was stressed. I put all the towels on one line and I think it's too heavy but I can't be arsed using the second line. Anyway, I digress. Hopefully it's just to get him out of the international games and it's something of nothing.

Actually I just listened to the podcast there. Gareth said "several" weeks not seven. Several can be as few as 3 weeks.

It's a blow but not the end of the world. Gomez is not ideal against a team like Watford but he'd be fine at RB against City. We beat them 3-0 a few years back with him playing that position.

Hopefully - he's the only player we don't really a like-for-like swap for. Maybe Klopp has seen this as an opportunity for Trent to have a rest before the last push for glory.

He played the full 90 the other night. Surely its just a tweak and it's 3 weeks to the city game. A grade 1 tear,if he has that, is 2 to 3 weeks. I'd say he'll be grand and it's Watford at home after the international break. We should be beating them with our b team.

Did the players get the day off yesterday?  The only other thing I can think of is if he did it in training but they would've only had a warm down yesterday if they did anything.

The timing is curious and Klopp is talking about it more than he usually does with injuries.  I'm not too worried at this stage, he didn't need to be subbed off during the Arsenal game.

Neco did well when called upon this season, though Trent is irreplaceable. He would have been a better fit than Gomez anyway, who should stay in the middle. Milner will surely get the gig if available. If he really is out for a longish spell, we should look at Hendo there against Forest.
