  • 2 weeks later...

Rodgers just said he is back in full training tomorrow, could feature on Tuesday and will definetly be back for the West Ham game.

Can't wait and hopefully his return sees mario get a chance alongside him at times instead of turning to shite players like borini.

Lets see if he makes it through the training session first!

Rushing him back......I know what you mean but to be fair players have come back from broken bones quicker than this. Even the last injury was meant to keep him out until early January originally...18th Nov he picked up this injury

I hope all this extra time spent on his recovery is time that has been well spent in terms if aiding him long term

The difference a top class striker makes to this team. We've been playing very good stuff the last few weeks but have just lacked what Sturridge showed today no fucking about get half a yard shoot, score.

We seriously need to bin off Balotelli, Lambert and Borini.

Our next striker that's signed needs to be of the same quality as Sturridge.

Ibe could be cracker if we start playing him through the middle.

Our next THREE strikers need to be of the same quality of Sturridge.

Actually, no. Two will do. The third only needs to be as good as Suarez

Looking at his goal today his first touch was excellent. Something Balotelli woudn't be expected to do, but could be able to do maybe one time out of five, ten or whatever. Same with the finish, Balotelli COULD do that, but not one out of two or three times as Sturridge will.

But if you look at the movement of Sturridge to create space for the pass from Coutinho, that's something Balotelli never has and never in a million years will be able to do.

I have a feeling the europa will become our priority as it will offer the most realistic route into the european cup.

Win 5 ties in that or pull back a gap on 3 teams in the league, most likely at the very least needing to get above arsenal or the Mancs for starters and Spurs and Southampton.

Balotelli would be moving towards Coutinho asking to receive the ball to his feet. He wouldn't beat Adrien at his near post either because his shooting isn't accurate enough.
