According to this they've spent over £17m after sales. Unless they think Gordon is definitely going to Chelsea.

They've probably got a few big earners like Gylfi, Delph and Tosun off the wage bill but they still have to pay their new players. Onana turned down West Ham because they offered less money than Everton.

So are you saying they've spent more than us?

Maybe they found the arteta money.

Just watched their highlights, they got absolutely battered, Brentford should have scored at least three.

Hoping this is the year those turds are finally flushed - but just feel there will deffo be 3 sides worse than them sadly.

I quite like the business they've done so far, on paper it all seems pretty sensible.

Go through their squad and compare it man for man with Burnley last year. It's pretty much identical, half decent keeper, reliable and solid back 4, workers in midfield and non scoring goal scorers up front.

They've still got plenty of shit to get rid of from previous excesses but if you're moving to a back 5 then Coady and Tarkowski are good players to have (they have nothing at RCB as it stands because they can't get Mina fit).

Onana could be very good and was very highly rated (but very raw), McNeill is a solid dependable player, Maupay is the kind of player they need to bring off the bench instead of players like Rondon and will look better when Calvert Lewin is fit and starting.

The signings themselves are good the issue will be the roles they're given because they may be forcing players that would be better served playing from the bench to be starters too early (and why I said 'on paper').

Amazing to think they had billionaire owners and Ancelotti and they still fucked it up. Born to lose.

As David Brent would say "If they fell into a barrel full of tits, they'd end up sucking their own thumb."

Early days, but among the club's you might expect to be in a relegation scrap, I reckon Brentford, Forest and Fulham will probably be OK.

As I said Burnley. They have a squad that will score 18 goals plus what Calvert Lewin can get. 8 or 9 of the regular starters won't score more than 2 per season.

They've started the season as badly as they could really and yet still aren't in the bottom 3!

They could be in an hour. In fact, they are in the “as it stands” table.
