My dishwasher smells of spunk

Need a bit of help with my dishwasher.

Im in digs and the dishwasher door would not close.

So as you do I thought I would poke it with a screwdriver, Grrrr.

The latch then rolled over and is in the closed position. The door is open but the latch is closed.

Any ideas on how you reopen the latch.

No screwdriver involvement

Mine doesn't smell of spunk but it's fucked. It makes a whirring noise when starting up and that's it. It doesn't drain or fill up. Had it out, cleaned the filters, the hose, etc but nothing.

Should I get a dishwasher lover in to give it some tender care?!
