Speaking of peace and the compromises required to achieve it, the Arabs have long made the compromise of accepting a zionist state in the first place.
 

I say it was a compromise because the zionists had no right to take any part of Palestine by force. They took what they took with terrorism, occupation, the displacement of Palestinians from their lands, and sheer military force.
 

That compromise should not be dismissed when we speak about the need to make compromises for the sake of peace. That compromise was the mother of all compromises. 

Now what compromises did the zionists give in return? Let us have a look.

 

The zionists want to achieve three objectives for their state:

 

1.  To be a jewish state

2. To be a democracy

3. To cover the whole land of Palestine.

 

The problem with these 3 objectives is that only 2 of them can be achieved at the same time. The zionists need to choose which 2 of the 3 they want. It is impossible to have all 3 without ethnically cleansing all the Palestinians. Let’s look at the possible scenarios:

 

A state that is democratic and covers the whole land of Palestine cannot be jewish unless it ethnically cleanses all the Palestinians.

 

A state that is jewish and covers the whole land of Palestine cannot be democratic unless it ethnically cleanses all the Palestinians.

 

A state that is democratic and jewish cannot cover the whole land of Palestine unless it ethnically cleanses all the Palestinians.

 

So what did the zionists decide? Yes, the ethnic cleansing of all Palestinians.
 

How to do that while having the blessings of the western bastions of morality?
 

Create and fund groups like Hamas and ISIS.

Control mainstream media and spread Islamophobia across the world.

Tell the whole world that the conflict in Palestine is a religious one.

Conflate anti-semitism with anti-zionism.

Dehumanize muslims and arabs

 

…. then go for the kill.

 

So long for peace, and the compromises required to achieve it.
