Ireland ultimately succumbed to the occasion and the weight of history. The All Blacks could yet become another of those teams that go into a tournament without much momentum, are written off early on, yet somehow find a way while getting stronger the further they go.

Sexton has been a legend but his decision making has been shit for years. New Zealand win a pen, they take 3 points, Ireland win one, they kick for the corner. At 3 nil down he passed up an easy 3 pointer, 90 seconds later its 6 nil. Take those 3 and a drop at goal wins that tonight.

Mammoth effort from both teams, New Zealand just about deserved it, they're defense was outstanding.

It worked in his favour before half time when he opted to go for the corner and they got a Try from it. But I get what you're saying. That early in the game would have had a psychological boost for the team to push on. Hindsight is great.

Ireland choke again.

They really really have someking of mental block in the WC.  Todays game was always going to be tough even against argualbly the worst NZ team at a WC (it is still pretty good though) The game was probably a 60:40 in their favour but its incredible given the quality of their side of the years they've never made it past the QF
