You do also need the large slice of fortune that 3 of your big rivals will shit the bed spectacularly in ourselves, Chelsea and Spurs.

We could rue the day we held the door open for that lot to dine at the top table

Underfunding ourselves is the only way we leave the door ajar. They would have finished in a European position regardless.

I am not lording their practices, I know full well the signings hereon in will be bigger and more expensive, and underwritten by a pariah state.

Howe is one of the most snivelling little pieces of shit I've ever seen in football, which is saying something. Mealy mouthed little twat. He's also obviously spent his career break watching Atletico because he's at the leading edge of the trend of professional match spoiling that we're seeing in football. So a little cunt who fronts up a brutal regime whilst trying to straight bat any questions about it, and playing some dire fucking shit in the process. Ruining the sport on and off the field. Not exactly a recipe to make me like him.

He's done a good job there though - they've recruited well without spending transformative money, although a side that finished lower mid-table going out and signing Guimares, Botman and Isaak for a combined ~£125m, and paying a wage to old man Trippier which even the mancs walked away from doesn't quite back that up. But in fairness he's got a tune out of some pretty limited players as well.

How he copes next year with European football will be interesting though. They'll take their new-found status and pair it with their blood money and no doubt recruit strongly to beef up the squad, but most of their success this year has been Howe's (and that attention seeking cunt who sits next to him) coaching, and we've seen before how teams react when they no longer have a routine seven days on the training ground between matches. Euro footy isn't just about managing your squad for the extra games, it's as much about adapting to less time preparing for the next match whilst spending more time travelling and so on. He's got no experience of it whatsoever so let's see what happens.

It's wrong. Using a singular form of the verb there fella.

Fair enough.  Noted.

Not hard to envisage a situation where a bad referee decision has enormous consequences for the British Saudi economic relationship. Downing St with a direct line into Stockley Park.

Or a manager of a Premier League team, let's take Brighton for example, resting 5 of his best players v a Saudi owned team for a critical game.

They'd influence the Prime Minister but there is no way on earth they would do anything to influence anyone in football. They wouldn't try and nobody in football would be receptive to it. No way.

Two years ago we were mainly shit but scraped the Champions League through a big late run.

The only difference this time (apart from there being crowds at the game) is that we have these sportswashing cunts to deal with. We'll probably even get the same number of points.

These and City will dominate the Champions League spots for years. Leaving two places for us, United, Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea (and whoever else may get investment or have a purple patch).

Can't help but feel Europa League football will be at least 50% of our seasons in the years ahead.
