Interesting timing on the Carden story. Just as Warsi is accusing Hancock of whitesplaining Islamophobia and criticising the lack of an investigation by her party.

Hancock didn’t show in our town this morning like he was supposed to. Our new candidate and a couple of councillors were waiting for him. I had a little list in my arse pocket of things I wanted to ask him but it wasn’t to be.

Then word got around that he was in a poncey bistro place about 5pm and he had a minder/bodyguard with him. A few that were still out canvassing went down there to politely ask him a few questions and the minder was getting in women’s faces and trying to grab one lad’s camera.

Challenged him to a hustings and he said he doesn’t dodge debates but he won’t attend unless the host is independent enough. It was then put to him that maybe he’d be willing to seek out a more suitable host and quick as a flash the minder said “We don’t seek out debates. We’ll receive the invitation and we’ll see.” So that’ll be a no then.

Meanwhile, news today that another GP practice is on the verge of going under in one of the surrounding villages and most of their patients are being passed to the two surgeries here from which people can’t get appointments as it is. Pensioners are gonna have to take expensive taxi trips both ways to pick up medication. He’s the Health Minister and he’s not even arsed about a serious GP crisis in his own constituency.

Slimy bastard will still piss the vote here though due to most of the constituency being made up of ‘posh’ villages and all the horsey types in Newmarket.

Oh, and Hancock couldn’t get his social media clip done outside the bistro because mad Barry who always wanders around town kept shouting and ruining it for him.

I worked as a security guard at Tesco briefly a few years ago and Barry would stand there talking at me for hours. Used to do my head in. He had one of those old lady pull along shopping trolley things and one time he came in and he’d been somewhere else and filled it completely with Heinz beans. Must have been at least 50-60 tins in there. I had no choice but to respect the man from then on.

Purity tests for Jews who don’t automatically think Corbyn is the embodiment of evil.

What an interesting idea. And by interesting I mean fascist.

Purity tests! Jesus you’ve been advocating kicking anyone out of the party that doesn’t worship at the altar of JC. It’s hilarious.  then there’s numerous people moaning that Riley isnt Jewish or not Jewish enough.

This Dan Carden "scoop" is shudderingly frightening. In the absence of a video or audio clip, we're in a very dangerous place where somebody can be branded antisemitic based on an unsubstantiated allegation alone and it's then, somewhat perversely, their task to refute the claim, rather than for the person making the allegation to substantiate it with evidence.

In any event, while substituting Jude for "Jews" is a bit daft, is it really antisemitic? Which part of the IHRA definition does it fall foul of?

The idea that it happened 20 monthly ago on a busload of journalists and not one of them thought to mention it until now stretches credulity way beyond breaking point.

The idea that he did it at all is a fairly ridiculous one.

But then bullshit doesn't need to be believable to be effective: the point of bullshit isn't to convince people of the veracity of your claims; it's to throw a fog around the truth.

It isn’t AS. But it does kind show a contempt for the entire issue doesn’t it? Points to a complete lack of judgment too.

How stupid would you have to be to believe it happened?

The story shows a complete contempt for the issue of anti-Semitism on the part of the hack who made it up.

There is a change of sorts since the GE began. There is plenty of scope for Labour to gain from some of their 2017 voting base.

The Liberal Democrats are down one point on 15%, while the Brexit Party has fallen sharply by three points in a week to 6%, since party leader Nigel Farage announced he would not stand as an MP.

Opinium’s latest data suggests Labour may be stemming the flow of both Labour Leavers to the Tories and Remainers to the Lib Dems.

Some 66% of Labour Leavers now plan to vote for Jeremy Corbyn’s party on 12 December, up nine points compared with a week ago.

Similarly, 48% of Labour Remainers are planning to vote for the party, sharply up on last week

It’s like that time he didn’t make a cunt of himself in the pub and get barred.
