Man Utd - Europa League (a)

I'm concerned about the trouble at the game.

They've been pretty poisonous for a while now, both on and off the pitch to be fair. Screech elbows his way through games with no repercussions; and their fans, by the thousands, sing deplorable songs. (We have our own minority of divvies, but by and large we have evolved, and the Munich stuff is barely visible, and we self-police it if anyone steps out of line).

Anyway, with all that said, the fighting is going to trump all of this. And I expect both clubs to be hit hard, no matter what the facts are.

Sick chanting. UEFA turns a blind eye. Gratuitous elbows flying on the pitch. No bother.

Fisticuffs between Mancs and Scousers? I fear we're about to get clobbered over this. (Could  be an unfounded fear, but I'm pretty concerned right now).

Clyne needs one of these after that performance

He was godlike last week, but tonight he was by far our weaker full-back - and our other fullback was a midfielder on his wrong side.

Sums up this team for me.  I don't think there's one of them I can honestly say has never played brilliantly.  I don't think there's one of them I can trust to play to a high standard all the time.

Still, tonight is not a night to be grumpy.  We beat the cunts in Europe!!!

Great result. Actually beginning to feel optimistic. Haven't felt it much since Klopp has come in. Have had my reservations but tonight spoke volumes for me because we had a fairly poor first half and still created chances. Then second half we were immense.

A year ago we would have just folded. Tonight was something immeasurably different.

Also, Sakho. 1 word. Immense.

Clyne is an excellent athlete - strong, fast, and all the rest of it. He usually has the upper hand on just about anyone he comes up against on that score. However, the Mancs have a couple of very fast players who are also pretty strong e.g. Martial; so if Clyne plays against them he can't just dominate by using his physical attributes.

In the long run I expect he will become an even better player by adding a bit more nous to his game as Klopp shapes a great defensive unit at Liverpool.

Tonight he was off, but he's a good signing and should have a long an successful Liverpool career in my view.

I always used to love the way Rafa used to refer to "Mr Ferguson".

It must have got right under whisky-nose's skin - as intended - but he's too much of a plazzy Socialist (friend of Alistair Campbell) to admit it.

It was Campbell who pushed for and rushed through the cunt's knighthood, as well.

Indeed.

I still love the guy, but tonight wasn't his best. Not like it matters. We beat the cunts.

We beat the cunts.
