World Cup 2014

Recommended Posts

I'm genuinely struggling to think of a worse defensive performance from a major nation at a World Cup. It was like watching a bunch of pub league players in Brazil shirts.

The Germans were good, but Argentina's defence is going to be like Fort Knox in comparison to Brazil's open goal.

It doesn't say great team it says winners you don't have to be a great team to win things but a winning team. Thanks Alan.

There's a bar in Rio called Taffinho's Tavernaldo that has a mural with that caption on it.

England's brave John Terry would be proud

This was sad. He was saying how sorry they were that they could not make the people happy asked the forgiveness of the people. Now will come the recriminations about building schools and hospitals to make the people's lives better.

He's a twat abroad, but here he's a decent guy.

Yeah. i am sure he is really worried about schools and hospitals from his five star in Paris.

Forgiveness for what? He is shite at defending, has been always and was tonight. Nothing to ask forgiveness for. They got caught up in all the drama of Neymar and bottled it.

You misunderstand. I, and nearly all of my Brazilian wife's family were rooting against Brazil throughout the tournament, believing, rightly I think, that it was an act of patriotism to not support the corruption and misuse of funds that went into the World Cup. With the notable exception of Romario, and Ronaldo later on (a little bit), all of the football community tried to justify the vast, recordable assets spent on this fucking charade by saying it would 'make the people happy'.

It's a black country. How many black Brazilian faces did you see in the crowd? It was a circus for the 98th percentile of wealth and their political cronies, which includes most players, especially the first ab ovo marketing specimen - Neymar.

It's a great country with a great people. I hope the people are back out in the streets tomorrow demanding a full accounting of the 33 billion reais spent to get to the semis. Vamos pra frente, Brasil!

another thing, imagine Brazil XI - Cabral, Marquinhos-Dede-Doria, Danilo-Sandro-Casemiro-Felipe Luis, Coutinho, Lucas Moura-Pato

it's a XI not in the squad for the World Cup, put some coaching into this team (under Dunga for example) and they'll beat the shit out of this Scolari garbage

That's a great post. Even all the mascots, with very few exceptions, were white. All the fans crying in the stands were white and the kid who is now all over the media with glasses is crying in his oversized coca-cola cup is whiter that the fucking Germans.

Brazil has a long way to go towards equality and more importantly equality through opportunity.

Don't worry though Dr. J, it all starts again in 2016 with the Olympics.
