I think he left Twente too soon. He had just won the league in Holland beating the so called bigger clubs and should have taken them into the Champions League. Instead the left them and has now not lasted the season with two clubs.

 

After the England debacle he had managed to claw back a small amout of respect and now it looks like he's back to square one.

Seriously fair play for walking without compo though. Guess Billy Davies had a point about transfers and stuff, I'd heard that Forest not only have a DoF-style system but instead of one man, there's a whole committee in charge transfers? Not sure if I've got those details right as I don't give enough of a fuck to explore them but I can see how that would frustrate any manager if true.

 

Agree with those who say he shouldn't have left Twente, sometimes a manager and club just click like that, plus he'd have gotten to manage in the Champions League proper, although I can see without the benefit of hindsight why he'd take a punt on the Wolfsburg job.
