1. My, my, my, what a response. Some of them promoting valid arguments, the vast majority not. Firstly, just to clear a couple of things up, I am neither an Everton nor United fan, nor am I Maddock (whoever that is). So, now that's out of the way... My problem isn't with Suarez, particularly,as the sentence "The issue isn't whether Suarez is, or isn't a racist" should have indicated. That was a clue missed by just about everybody in the rush to post kneejerk reactions. The problem I do have with Suarez, is his claimed ignorance of the impact of the word "negrito", on the basis that it is in common usage in Uruguay. So then, if the people in my household routinely use the word "darkie" or "coon", we would be free to say it everywhere? Don't talk daft. He knew what he was saying, and the reaction he was likely to get, regardless of what happens in his own country. Oh, and just to clear something else up, whilst we're on the subject. I don't know any of you here on a personal level, but I'm pretty much willing to guarantee that I've spent more time in Latin America than every single one of you who weren't either born there or living there now. I understand more about the culture of those countries (of which there are many. "Latin American" is not a culture, by the way) than you could ever imagine, and I know exactly how the word "negrito" is applied in a particular context. most of you, as shown in the contradictory posts above, clearly don't. Suarez knew exactly what he was doing. Is he a racist? I don't know, because I don't know him. Did he act in a racist way? Yes, he did, whether you like it or not. Anyway, back to my original point. Suarez isn't the biggest problem, it's the reaction of the club. In my opinion, and I know how you all want to hear it, LFC aren't concerned about losing a player for 8 games because he's innocent or guilty, they're concerned because they face 8 games with only a Geordie alcoholic as cover for their only effective forward. Had this been a reserve player, you wouldn't have heard a peep from Dalglish or anybody else. They've panicked, and they've embarrassed themselves. That's the point. By the way, for Dalglish to say the FA should look at punishing Wigan for their fans booing a man the FA have declared as having committed a racist act, I haven't stopped laughing yet. Now than, finally, thanks for the dozens of negs I've received, it's nice to know I ruined a few of your days. For those who have contributed to this debate, I have no problem, you've said your piece and done what you had to do. For the rest of you, those who prefer to neg without input to the thread because you are incapable of constructing any valid points of argument, you are just soft cunts. Have the balls to stand up and be counted, instead of hiding behind a keyboard and a neg button. I can't wait to see the t-shirts you'll all be wearing to support John Terry, when he claims he didn't act inappropriately. His family are clearly scum, but that means he can act that way all the time. Doesn't it?
2. The issue isn't whether Suarez is or isn't a racist, it's the absolute lack of responsibility taken by either him, his colleagues or his employer after he was proven to have said what he was accused of saying. His claimed ignorance of the meaning of the word negrito/negro (del. as app.) is plainly ridiculous, unless he's been living in a cave for the past 15 years with no access to telly or the internet. Frankly, to wear t-shirts supporting a man who has been found guilty of racism was crass in the extreme. An employee in any other industry would be facing a gross misconduct charge, likely leading to dismissal, yet Suarez is feted as a hero. From fans, this can just about be excused, but from his employer and colleagues? It's deplorable. Fascism has no place in modern society, however significant or not an incident may seem.
3. I've no idea if Air Video exists for Android but, if it does, then it's all you need, assuming you have a hefty data contract. With unlimited data on my iphone, it's easily the greatest app ever.
4. Pre-dating Paul Simon by over 20 years... N3hOReYDC34 6Yw3_aukyL0

6. The googling I had to do... Warning! The following content is NOT WORK SAFE. Click the Show button to reveal. Now, get me a blonde shoolgirl carrying a mandolin
7. Amen to that, brother. I thought it was just me who didn't get what all the fuss is about. She looks like she belongs on a council estate in Sheffield.
8. If and when the PSU goes, any reduction in the voltage also goes, creating the spike that usually blows electrical stuff up. It's quite possible that the last thing that will happen is that 240v goes straight to the satellite box. Replacement power supplies are so cheap, it's a no-brainer.
9. Apparently the last letter he received, just the day before he died, was this... Can't argue with Jim's commitment to the Fixin' cause.
10. Whatever the reasons, if I was Steve Kean I'd have stopped taking internal phone calls by now.
11. I bought a Fostex 8 Track hard drive recorder off eBay, which makes the whole thing both portable and as easy as plug in, pick up and play. Oh, and learning to play guitar is probably the best thing I ever did. I'd recommend it to absolutely everybody.
12. Apologies if this has been posted before. It's a song by Robb Johnson which addresses the treatment of football fans in general, and focuses on Hillsborough in particular. Be advised that the slideshow contains images from Hillsborough which may cause distress.
13. Yes, yes it is. It's only due to Apple being utterly dominant in certain product markets that they can take the stand they do. Use this. For me, iTunes serves only to update the iOS. But for that, I wouldn't touch it. And the fact that Apple make it almost impossible to install iTunes without Quicktime and Safari makes them cunts. That's not Apple, actually, that's the way technology works. It's also the way technology buying consumers work, sadly. I have an iPhone 4 and an iPod Touch, simply because they are the best at what they do, no question, Flash issue notwithstanding. In all honesty, the iPhone is worth the money just for the Audiogalaxy and Air Video apps. But, to summarise, Apple act like cunts because they can afford to.
14. I also understand that the 1 Series are manufactured in Poland, making it a pretend BMW for a real BMW price. Could be wrong though, as I haven't checked and just thought I'd sow some of these doubting seeds I've got lying around the place.
