10 year ban from European competition. Seems about right that.

Does he not see the irony?

The 12 banned would just say, right boys, the ESL, where are we up to?

Fuckin biggest bunch of moralistic gobshites I've ever known.

Bang on about the effect Heysel had on them? Just fuck off.

Kenny Dalglish and Alex Ferguson aren't on the board of Directors at their clubs. They have roles at the club but they aren't involved in any business decisions.

Also being praised by the Rotterdam police. Everton were playing Rapid Vienna, not an Italian team with Ultras as their support who were hell bent on causing trouble. Liverpool quite rightly have to take their share of the blame for what happened but Juventus fans were no angels either.

Also, there was no trouble the whole day with both sets of fans playing football together and getting on. It's just when everyone got to the stadium it all went wrong.

We've already established that their greatest ever manger left the club to compete in the European Cup by joining Bilbao who hadn't qualified for Europe when he went there and only qualified for the uefa cup the year after. Also many of their team got old, injury prone and left for mid table clubs in England.

Why did they get fucked over in Villareal?.

Even if Fergusons goal stood the game would have ended 2-2 and they lost 2-1 at home in the first leg.

Or is it another Sliding Doors moment where they would have gone on to win the game 5-2?

It's bugged me for 16 years that, similarly how Heysel appears to now be universally accepted by them as being solely responsible for their decline, forgetting the fact that they bagged Lineker after Heysel, managed to win a second league title two years after Heysel, whilst at exactly the same time we started to put together arguably our greatest ever side (at that point at least).

Of course the ban didn't help them but it didn't help anyone. Accept it was also bad management, bad recruitment and bad performances that contributed to the decline and i'm happy to discuss it.

Yep, the year after Heysel they broke their transfer record and bought Lineker then sold him a year later for more than double what they paid, yet still somehow managed to win another league title despite the restrictions Heysel put on them.

Both of us sold our best players for similar amounts yet they bought average players and we bought 4 really good ones who took us to a higher level. We weren't even the reigning league champions when they came to us.

Everton had the pulling power of being league champions in 1987 and a lot of money to buy players but Heysel ruined everything for them and not us.

Drove  through Everton a few weeks back and  there's official flags on the lamposts all over the shop, like for about a mile, how's that acceptable? It's like that town  they had in the Alps where all the Nazis lived.

Marking their territory like a scabby dog pissing on every lamppost in the street.

To be fair we've got far more around Anfield. They've only really got them round Walton Lane and Goodison Road.

They're not moral high horse fc for nothing.

He's also tagged all the Everton players, Carlo Ancelotti and Dave Prentice in on his original Heysel piece. Also said Liverpool should be banned from Europe until they get new owners with morals.

Like their owner who kept trying to get a low interest loan off the council whilst living in Monaco and paying no tax.
