Anyone have any experience of doing this? I have about 20 films I need to convert and to get them done by someone will cost a few hundred quid. Cheers.

Jamie, i can get a cable from Super Hans which you can plug into the VHS and straight into the pc, thus converting it to mpeg4 onto the hard disk. I have done loads and its a piece of piss.

Bought the cable and program from teknikmagasinet for like 400kr.

Scart cable between a vhs and dvd recorder should do the trick. if you want to edit them rip vob files using virtual dub then use a video editing program like premiere elements to edit and export to dvd or whatever platform you want to put them on

hth

Dave

PM me for tutorials if you want
