When I posted it the other thread wasn't there. It took ages to process. Not my fault.

That would mean your post took 53 mins to process, nice try mate.

Fair fucking play to him. So many of them can afford to be generous to that degree and yet so few are - although maybe that's unfair; maybe people in football do things like this anonymously all the time. In fact, if I was Rafa, I wouldn't be thrilled about it getting out like this. Either way though, it's yet another reason while I'll always have a soft spot for him and his time here, even if things did go tits up as far as his job was concerned.

A true measure of the man. No doubt people will ask why it wasn't 96 million, but the guy is a class act. Loved the club, loved the city and loved the people.

Swipped this from another site.

Nice parting gesture from the man.

Ex-Liverpool FC manager Rafa Benitez donates £96,000 to Hillsborough Family Support Group

Jun 10 2010 by Laura Jones, Liverpool Echo

Rafa Benitez 460

THE ECHO can exclusively reveal that Rafa Benitez today donated £96,000 to the Hillsborough Family Support Group as he gets set to leave Merseyside.

The former Liverpool FC boss, who was today confirmed as the new manager at Inter Milan, handed over the cheque to Margaret Aspinall, chairwoman of the HFSG, as the rest of the committee watched on this afternoon.

In a low key visit to the group's office, Benitez wished the group well and told them he hoped they would get the justice and the truth they are campaigning for.

Mrs Aspinall said: "It was just nice to know that he wanted to see us before he went."

A nice gesture from a often misunderstood Man.

The thing that annoys me in fiasco is that Rafa as gone and these Cunts are still here, sad really, loved to have seen Rafa with decent owners,I've absolutely no doubt he would have won us a lot more.
