A lad called Scott who is a season ticket holder in the main stand. I hear there is a small protest going on outside the club's offices in Chapel Street this morning about the stadium and regeneration issue.

""Liverpool is a big club but I am not negotiating with them at the moment, I am calm at Newcastle," said Enrique, according to Sky Sports Newcastle Left Back Jose Enrique Denies Negotiations With Liverpool - Liverpool FC - NESN.com

His temperament is a concern, but he seems to have got his head down and grafted this season. He is one moody miserable bastard though and never smiles. Good player though.

Another 2 goals for Charles N'Zogbia today. He is maturing into a very good player. If we are unable to attract marquee signings this summer then he may be a decent addition particularly as he will only have 12 months left on his contract at the end of the season.

Carroll and what positions we need to improve
StevieH replied to BurtReynolds's topic in FF - Football Forum
Andy Carroll will come good but he needs better service. The kind of cross that Meireles provided for Carroll's 2nd against Manchester City is needed on a more consistent basis. Players that we need: - Centre back Left back 2 wingers Central midfielder Back up striker -
Managing Director Ian Ayre confirmed today that Liverpool were now actively looking for a naming rights partner should they decide to pursue the option of building a new stadium in Stanley Park. <!-- end of Tagline --> <!-- end of ArticlePic --><!-- end of RelatedLinks --><!-- end of MostRecent --> <!-- end of ArticleRight --> Said Ayre; "We need to be absolutely clear here that the Club are yet to make a decision and are still examining all the options open to them, including a refurbishment of our existing home at Anfield and a new stadium in Stanley Park. "A huge amount of work continues analysing all the relevant factors. Naming rights would apply only to a new stadium and would be critical to the viability of that project. "We believe this is a unique opportunity for the right partner to be associated with one of the truly global names in world football and although it is very early days we have been encouraged by some of the initial discussions we have had." Spurs home form is extremely mediocre. They have drawn 9 out of 18 home league games this season.

At least the owners have seen at first hand today that there needs to be significant investment this summer if we are to be competitive next season. We have been on a great run of late but today's game with Spurs highlighted that we are still short of 5-6 top class players to go straight into the first team.

Yellow card for Suarez.

Suarez in trouble here.

Spurs; Cudicini; Kaboul, Dawson, King, Rose; Lennon, Modric, Sandro, Pienaar; Van der Vaart; Crouch
-
Shame that Meireles misses out, but strong starting XI.

Mousa Sissoko is a player that I like. Phyisally strong and a very good box to box midfielder who has been linked with a move to the Premiership for a while now.

I would prefer 2 signings as midfield is such a key area where games are won and lost and I still feel that we need another top quality midfielder in there. Jones has played in both positions this season, but I think he would be an asset playing initially alongside Carragher and then perhaps Kelly long-term.
