Usually I enjoy Top Gear but after Hammond met that old bloke on the beach who remembered being bombed by American B52's I just didn't think the forfeit bike was in any way funny - May, Hammond and Clarkson came across as 3 arrogant twats who had no respect for the Vietnamese people.

The cars they took to the deep south in America was different because that targetted bigotry - I'd have no problem if 3 Americans came over here and made fun of English bigots.

The cars across the English Channel, the US challenge, Africa challenge and the Polar challenge were a right laugh, but last nights wasn't really that difficult as there always seemed to be a Vietnamese support crew on hand to help them fix the 'peds.

I think top gear's really went downhill. Don't get me wrong I watch it every week but the challanges are always set up to be a photo finish and dramatic twists and turns that in reality never happened are thrown in. Just gets a bit annoying after a while!

I started to think that, and I watched the old style Top Gear (5th Gear) and I was completely bored by Tiff @Look amt me I am a better driver than yow" Needel, and Vivky @I'm a dirty bitch" Butler Henderson, droning on how the Ford Focus 1.3, is a good reliable car that will suit the family. Give me James May whittering bollocks about how a road test ramp works, whilst driving a Bugatti Veyron(sp) any day of the week.

Top Gear is scripted your right, but it makes it really enjoyable, as it is all something us blokes especially would live to do for a living. Doing what Tiiff and Vicky do, jeez I'd rather live in a cave for 10 years.

I thought the bike was funny, until the lad on the beach told us his story. I felt that was a very poignant moment and it got the point home of how it wasn't going to end up being used, you just knew that was the moment when the plot had to change.

I want to enjoy speed, not boring road tests, Top Gear everytime.

I love Top Gear. I love it when they mix the motoring with fastest lap and review cars. The tasks and tests they are given are also genius and provide relief.

That Vietman escapade was taking the piss a bit though. How much does it cost to produce one episode? It was a glorified holiday show with mopeds.
