Strange Hobbies

I used to temp for Eddie Stobart in the offices, and every day you'd spot someone creeping around the parking area taking pictures of wagons.

They were called "eddie spotters" apparently.

Now bare in mind that unlike, say, trains, all of these lorries are the same, the same paint job, the same make, just completely the same, except the fact that each one had a girl's name on the front. (the cab's were all called "Emma" or "Sally" etc)

But people had actually traveled miles, sometimes hundreds of miles, to take pictures of a CAB!

Can anyone beat that?

Strange, I was going to post a similar thread today when i got the chance, mine was going to be about amateur theatre/musicals as I went to watch one of my friend's girlfriend in a musical yesterday and it got me thinking, not many people do musicals or theatre now and it could be classed as "weird" so I was going to ask the same, who has hobbies of an unusual creative nature?

When travelling on a motorway I always try to spot what the name is on the front of the cabs, but stress that I'm not sad enough to go round taking pictures of them.

^^^ Fucking ace!

Aren't some of those bows about 8ft high?

I remember reading about a Samurai with a fucking immense bow and he could put arrows through two fully armoured soldiers at a time, some kind of Jap Robin Hood I think..

About that, yeah. Just over two metres, usually. Unfortunately I've never had the chance to test the armour theory as we just fire into boring old paper:

There is a story about a student in Japan who bent down to collect the arrows as someone fired and the arrow went straight through their head so it's probably possible!
