I watched No Country For Old Men again yesterday, after buying it on Amazon for 4 quid.

 

I'm glad I did as the only other time I watched it was on a plane. I enjoyed it more this time on a 32 inch screen, opposed to the 4 inch and the constant interruptions of stewardesses and the mildly incontinent Japanese bloke.

 

8.9 out of ten.

The Strangers, supprisingly not bad at all id give it 7/10 and would probably be an 8.5 if liv tyler wasnt such a bad actress (Though Fit as fuck). Love the fact they never explained why they were being terrorised

we finally got the boy in the stripped pyjamas here. I have to say, the subject matter is full on and hits hard; the film didn't do the book justice, i know they never do but i was a tad disappointed.

Son of Rambow - 7 out of 10, didn't enjoy as much as I thought I would but the two lead performances were very touching.

 

 

Watched said film earlier tonight, I thought it was ace, the French kid was hilarious and my missus wept at the "climax", what more could you want?

Also working my way through the Kubrick collection, A Clockwork Orange was viewed this afternoon, not as shocking as i remember it but still brilliantly made (Kubrick was a genius) and Malcolm Mcdowells finest hour.

The curious case of Benjamin Button, quite simply one of the best films ive ever seen. Engrossing from start to finish , pitts best performance yet in my humble opinion. I cant think of another film like it, a must see ten on ten.

Kramer vs Kramer. Started out looking as if it was going to develop a bit chickflickish, but beds down well. The characters are astonishingly real (Dustin Hoffman is brilliant). Meryl streep actually looks quite hot. Script and characters are believeable, you just want to hate Streep's character for turning her son into such a brat.

 

Solid 8/10 at least for me.
