Dunno I didn't see it, but that was sufficient for Pat Nevin to say it wasn't a penalty.

It was Pat Nevin though.

Pat Nevin allegedly fingers cats, so I find myself unable to accept anything he says.

Gakpo’s been poor for a few weeks but he’s far from useless.

He should have hit the one where Mo was fouled (Ake wasn’t in the same post code as the ball)

The FF always needs an escape goat.

Biggest thing I guess is that we are still ahead of those cheats despite everything that Webb and his cronies have thrown at us. If they take points off Arsenal, it’s in our hands.

Yup. City absolutely need something from that Arsenal game now.

We didn't 'drop' points in this one. City went ahead thanks to a well-taken corner routine. We deservedly got ourselves a goal and, but for the wrong decisions in the final third, could have got at least one more.

Superb performance by the team. Lucho was dynamite in that second half. If only he'd brought his shooting boots too. The reasoning behind that non-penalty at the end? Apparently Doku's boot was at an acceptable height. Agree with the opinion that at the other end, never mind VAR getting involved, I think Oliver would have no hesitation in giving that. That challenge anywhere else on the pitch is a free kick, and if it's our player doing it, also a yellow card. Attwell should have asked Oliver to at least view it on the screen, but instead they'll hide behind some bollocks reasoning.

The next league game isn't until the end of the month. We play Brighton at home whereas City take on Arsenal. We can only take care of our results as we almost never get a favourable result in other games when we are title-chasing (2019/20 was a procession not a title chase).

A shame we didn't quite manage the 3 points in this one, as it would have put a lot of weight on that City-Arsenal clash, where I think we would have seen even more shithouse antics than we are likely to see now.

Absolutely robbed there. We were great, but oh, Lucho

As much as Diaz gave 120%, as he does, the key decision for me was Cody for Darwin. I’d have defo taken Diaz off and backed Darwin, particularly in injury time. The other decision for me was pulling Conner. I didn’t notice him looking tired, and we lost a lot of opportunity down the right after he went off.

However, there’s no ‘one way’ to beat City, and luck is so much apart of it. We got lucky at the back, but not in the final third.
