Absolutely disastrous result for league season, pretty much need a miracle now. Cannot believe that miss from Mane.

Going to be very difficult to lift from this result, Chelsea at the weekend and then lose Salah and Mane for a month.

Mane we won't notice any difference.

Well thats it then....title gone IMO.

Can't see how we pull back 6 pts on this Man City side, especially with AFCON.

It's really fucking frustrating, but frankly we got what we deserved tonight.

Still stings we had to go to Tottenham weakened as we were and ended up dropping points - but the pts dropped at home against Brighton from 2 goals up and the points dropped at Brentford were unforgiveable.

The real damage was done in those games throwing away a 2 goal lead at home to fucking Brighton and letting in 3 v fucking Brentford....puts you on cliff edge then where 1 bad result like tonight is fatal.

Tonight we just weren't good enough, wasting golden chances...a pen and a rebound, Mane when clean through etc.

We were again undone by a simple pass undoing our defence and we never looked like winning after that.

I know some will say there is a half a season to go and anything can happen, but can you really see us pulling 6 pts back on this Man City side? I can't....

We will almost certainly be 9 behind by time we kick off at Chelsea on Sunday in what is a really tough game....then we lose the lads to AFCON.

Just can't see how we win league from here.

Gutting.

Mane, on the showing off the last two months, isn't going to be missed at all.

Jota has worked like a trojan, picking the ball up deep, and running at their defence.  He's a constant menace.  Firmino has been fucking static.  I don't want to hear any idiot telling me Firmino drops deep to pull defenders out of shape.  He can't do it anymore.  He's the only thing out of shape.  Fucking useless, getting in the way. Sell.

Jota was horrific, although he did show desire near the end. The starting midfield didn't suit his game at all, it's what I was saying last time. When you have two workman like not great players with the ball like Henderson and Ox behind him, he has to get involved deeper and he's just not good at that. He needs to be a real forward.

And that's that. We've hit a shocking bit of form in the last 2 games and we've attacked like a bunch of 4 year olds tonight. Call it hysterical fannieitis if you want but the league is now over. And before January to boot.

Worst part is is that we had enough chances to win 2 games tonight and after their goal, we looked devoid of ideas and energy especially, which is a very worrying aspect. We looked like the team that played 2 days ago.

A makeshift bunch of cunts, held us at bay with relative ease for the last half hour.

Our defending for the goal was equally fucking terrible, from trent jogging, to van dijk not even trying to block the shot and Allison getting done on his near post. If little arms did that, we'd all be laughing at him.

Top 4 consolidation and a decent run at the champions league are now the priorities.

It's the hope that kills you.

Bobby is done mate. He made zero constructive contribution.

He got in the way for Matip at the end.  He really is a waste of a shirt.  He came on and straight away gave the ball away, which is his stock in trade these days.  He used to be good.  He is no longer any good.

Ref blows before the 5 minutes injury time were up and Tsimikas had to go into the Leicester fans to wrestle the ball back for our throw in.

Seems fair.

Can we stop with this refs bullshit.  We’re not good enough cause we’ve consistently failed to address our weaknesses and kept players who’ve proved to be not good enough.

What the hell was that? Matip was the only player who looked as though he wanted to win this. Trent seemed scared to cross the ball. Mane was seriously atrocious. Keita, after looking great against the same team last week, now came on and only looked to pass the ball backwards. Salah was still trying stupid blind passes after the ninety minutes were up. Just shockingly inept. Leicester are major shithouses - constantly falling down and being allowd by the ref to break up play - if they're injured, either get them to walk off and stretcher them off! But we threw this away.

Very disappointing that. Salah has gone a bit off the boil of late, but still we should have plenty in our toolbox to put at least two or three past a very poor opponent. Extremely visible in this match that midfield is our weakest part. Henderson and Ox are both pretty useless in games like this, they lack the creativity required. Henderson also hardly ever tackles and never win a header, which makes our counterpressing suffer. He also fucked up his positioning for their goal. The two that came on in midfield weren’t any better unfortunately.

Tsimikas and Matip our best players by some distance. After that Jota imo, he was good receiving it between their lines, and was denied a brilliant assist by a poor finish from Sadio.
