Very male and very white - I guess this forum just likes white boys with guitars culturally appropriating Music evolved from blues and jazz (to be fair this also sums up most of my music collection)

I don't like the idea of claiming that music is 'culturally appropriated', music should be shared, mixed & fused.

 

Purists kill musical progression.

 

Having said that, the list could certainly do with a bit more of an ethnic mix.

I get where you’re coming from with that statement but it’s not right and should still be recognised that a large amount of this music only progressed because the white public would only listen to it played by whites

Haha I went to watch them at festivals both in 2003 and 2005, I was not either middle aged, wearing Wrangler jeans, driving a Volvo or having a boring career.

 

Absolute superb band, just a shame it did not last longer.
