Signing an 18 year old for 30m is a big boy move. Plus he's got 90 potential on Fifa. Git'er done.

Signing an 18 year old from Serie B, which is probably the equivalent of league one in terms of quality, for £30m is idiotic IMO, no matter how good he looks. Let him play for a decent Serie A team, then preferably a mid-table PL team first, before we consider him.

You're acting like his options are Sassuolo and then on to Burnley when he's about 21.  Juventus are pulling out all the stops to sign him now.

Vinicius Jr is 18 and is now getting regular time at Real Madrid. He signed from Brazil. If Tonali's talented enough, nothing else matters.

Let them have him. Isn’t risk worth taking IMO.

Fair enough, but the last player we let sign for Juventus - when we were actively pursuing him - was Dybala, and people baulked at the £30m valuation back then, but he's worth at least £100m now.

£30m isn't much in the current market. Callum Wilson's being valued at £75m. Verrati and Insigne are from Serie B. Delle Alli and Oxlade Chamberlain are from League One. If the player is good enough it doesn't matter.

The source for this is an Italian journalist with a track record of getting things wrong when it comes to us, so I wouldn't get excited.

Here are some more of his scoops, although to be fair that was all 4 years ago

Our track record with Italian players is worse.

If his name was Harri Maguirinho you wouldn't be saying that

Liverpool have agreed a £17.3million deal with Trabzonspor for attacking midfielder Abdulkadir Omur, according to a source in Turkey.

Turkish outflet Ajanspor report that a €20million transfer has been hammered out for the 19-year-old, although the deal will not be announced until the summer with Trabzonspor keen to keep their fanbase happy. (It's not being announced anywhere other than on Ajanspor...)

Omur is rated as the best young player in Turkish football and has also been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool’s closest Premier League title rivals Manchester City.

Earlier this month though the Sunday Mirror claimed Jurgen Klopp had stolen a march on his rivals and was ready to trigger a £27million deal for the Trabzonspor star.

Omur’s future was very much top of the agenda when the teenager was questioned about interest from the Reds during a press conference at the start of the month.

The player has confirmed recently there has been interest from Liverpool and Klopp.

“Liverpool are a great club, one of the greatest in the world. These offers are something Trabzonspor need to discuss,” Omur said, as quoted by Turkish Football.

“If the club give the go ahead talks can be held. The clubs interests take precedence.

“I’ll do whatever is in the club’s best interests.

“My priority is Trabzonspor but I have a dream to play in Europe, I hope I play there one day. My dream is to succeed here and then go to Europe.”

Omur has five earned assists and scored two goals in 20 appearances for the Turkish Super Lig side.
