West Ham wanted the Wales midfielder in January and he has a £25million buy-out clause in his contract for any of the top-six sides, excluding former club Liverpool.

Yeah, I don't think that's going to be activated somehow.

Speaking on SFR Sport, Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas was asked about Nabil Fékir’s future.

“There has been no contact with Liverpool or any other club so we haven’t discussed the future. I know that Nabil, now that we have qualified for the Champions’ League, would really like to stay, so we will discuss things calmly. He has magnificently won the right to go to Russia with France, which gives him an even higher standing. For the moment, nothing is done. You will have to be very, very rich to sign Nabil Fékir this year.”

Aulas can be a bit of a bullshitter though.

Never can a chairman have been named more aptly.

REAL MADRID have sensationally offered Gareth Bale to Liverpool in a swap deal for Mohamed Salah, reports in Spain claim.

By JAMES WALTERS

UPDATED: 22:47, Mon, May 21, 2018

Reds superstar Salah has been tipped to head to the Bernabeu in recent months.

And according to Spanish news outlet Don Balon, Real will go all out for Salah this summer - and they’re willing to give up Bale to land the Egypt international.

They say Real have offered Bale to Liverpool in hope of luring Salah to La Liga.

Wales international Bale has struggled with injuries during his time at Real.

However, when fit, the winger has impressed under Zinedine Zidane.

Bale, 28, has won three Champions League medals, one La Liga title and lifted the Copa del Rey once following his move to Real from Tottenham in 2013.

Madrid can fuck off with that shit. I'm hoping we don't even entertain the idea of selling Salah but if he pulls the "dream club" shit (doesn't seem like the type but I've thought that about others as well) then tell them to break the bank open or get lost.

Heh.

Sure, I'd say that's likely. Our team of transfer aces are going to take an injury-prone player about to enter his decline in exchange for the best player under 27 in the world.

At least if they want to make it believable it should be a swap deal for Asensio, not Bale. Bale is the kind of player United like to sign - overrated, old, injury-prone, and has just about another year, maybe two, left in his legs.

I think we should sell Salah to Real Madrid. That's definitely a good idea. We should maintain our position as lowly subservient also-rans whilst simultaneously allowing our glorious overlords to reach their prime again. Win/win.

Or we should try and bum them silly on Saturday and keep our best players and buy more dead good players.
