Worst of the TLW Era - YOU decide: Strikers

Diouf and Aspas. Diouf was such a hateable cunt who's ability was nowhere near what he thought it was. At least Balotelli has a bit of weird charm and mystery about him. Aspas just ran around a lot and just looked like a guy off the street who'd won a competition to play. -
Worst of the TLW Era - YOU decide: Centre midfield

Aquilani "He'd have been worth 30m had he been fit when we signed him". Yes okaaay. Was style over actual substance and I'm not even sure what his style is or was. Poulsen was obviously a good player in his pomp but signed as a cheap experienced alternative to Mascherano defecting. Understood the reason we signed him at the time but his legs had well gone by that point. -
Worst of the TLW Era - YOU decide: Left midfield

Jovanovic for just total utter shitness and lack of any semblance of ability. Kewell for being a self contented waste of space who is the kind of player who probably thinks he did okay here when he was a lazy shirker. Jovanovic gets it though for me. I remember a sub appearance v Wigan not long after Kenny took over and he was comically out of his depth inept. -

The Cisshoko one was strange as a few years back he was being linked to big clubs across Europe for 15m plus. I didn't know if he was any good a few years ago or just lost his way to be what he is now. -

I still maintain Konchesky wasn't as bad here as what people made out. Not good enough at all for us but guilty by Hodgson association. We didn't have a senior left back at the club at the time and had to also resign Aurelio after releasing him on a free such was the predicament of the club at the time. I understand the reason he signed Konchesky. Most managers sign a trusted player early on and Konchesky was part of a well drilled Hodgson back 4 that had lost narrowly in the Europa Final the year before. I can only remember him getting caned by wingers in 2 games v United (Nani) and Spurs (Lennon) that's no disgrace as they're hard work on their day. The Doss was getting skinned by Bernard fucking Mendy v Hull in the 2-2 in 2008 and some guy at Leeds in the League Cup in 2009-10. Dossena for me. -
Worst of the TLW Era - YOU decide: Right backs

Degen by a mile. I hated his stupid square shoulders that made him look like he had one of those wooden coat hangers in his shirt and I remember we lost 1-0 v Arsenal in 2009-10 season and Gerrard pinged a truly glorious 60 yard pass for him to run on to and control on his instep without breaking stride. What did he do? Miscontrolled it out of play. It was harder to do that than actually control the thing but that useless git somehow managed it. -

Worst of the TLW Era - You Decide: Goalkeepers

Definitely Charlie boy. Padelli only gave us one game of ineptness but Itandje stole a living here the twat. I don't mind Brad tbh. Seems well liked and respected by the squad and had some positive moments (pen save v Blackburn just after his son passed away and the Semi Final v the blues. He's never good enough of course but he's nowhere near as bad as the others and he's not a cunt like Itandje. -
Best of the TLW era - you decide: Midfield

Alonso and Didi for me. Mascherano was class but Didi always reliable in those tough European away games in the early noughties. He was a classy player clever passer and great reader of the game. -
Best of the TLW era - you decide: Left Backs

Not even a contest Riise 7 years service part of a solid back 4 under different managers and a goal threat. Also versatile in that he played left midfield sometimes. -
Some thoughts on Chelsea 1 Liverpool 0 by Paul Natton
Juan Galonso replied to tlw content's topic in FF - Football Forum
Wouldn't say the result was a rip off Paul. It was a knife edge game throughout that could have gone either way it really that tight. I think Rodgers substitutions really hindered us overall looking back at it. Balotelli on as the first sub was truly pathetic in my opinion. -
I'm out too.

Apologising in advance for my shitter than usual shitness to whoever is on my team tonight.

I'm out sorry lads. Work commitments & other stuff. Deffo back next week.
