You don't beat Chile on penalties.

About to win three tournaments in a row.

People keep going on about how they must be knackered because of not having a summer off in ages (which may be detrimental to their careers over the long term), but what all these games and success are doing is molding them into almost a club side as they must have spent far more time together than your average international outfit by now.

This confederations cup is a shite idea, its just another fuck about by blatter to 'promote' international football. Line fifa's pockets more like.

Can's still playing football and will be into the first full week of July. Our squad starts to report back after next week isnt it? Sure, he'll be returning after a break but he'll be behind the rest of the squad.

He will be a bit behind in what way? Match fitness will not be one.

Can played just 39 matches for us last season (only 30 started) - a pretty light schedule.

He can have 2 solid weeks off maybe a little longer miss Tranmere and Wigan and go out to that thing in Asia starting 19th and still have a good 3 week long pre season coming off a pretty decent base fitness level from playing.

I see no problem at all.

Sanchez played 51 games for arsenal last season - he'll probably be feeling it a bit more now.

No. He played against us when he played for Feyenoord. Think he tried injuring Steven Gerrard who grabbed the little snidey twat.

This is correct. I was there. Went straight through Stevie. Was more sheer youthful enthusiasm than snide to be fair. He looked excellent that day.
