The thing is, he was a shadow of his former self for months before he went and long before the new owners came in. He simply didn't look interested most of the time.

 

Someone said earlier that they questioned his mental state and I'd agree with that. I don't think his head has been right for some time. A real pity as he had all the qualities to be a Liverpool favourite for years to come but, for whatever reason, he threw it all away.

 

Maybe one day the real true story will come out and we'll find out why his last season or so with us was so poor.
