Went last December, absolutely brilliant place. Stayed in a hotel called Rialto, just off the Ramblas in the Gothic quarter. Nice enough hotel and in a brilliant place for getting around. We went through Easyjet £124 for 3 nights plus flights, thought for that price the hotel would be a fleapit but it was sound.

Saw the clash a few times, and B.A.D. In fact, the best gig I ever saw was the Clash at the Royal Court in 1981, not long after the riots. absolutely fucking brilliant. Apparently there's a bootleg of it knocking around somewhere. Joe Strummer is a true legend of rock and roll as Lurtzy says. Those who know about these things however (Lurtzy clearly is one of them) also know how good Mick Jones is. Saw him also a few times with the Justice Tonight shows too, watching Mick playing beneath a big Liverpool flag was boss.

He actually made his Head Like a Rock album with Crazy Horse, and toured with them too I think, and he knows Neil Young personally. I spoke to him in the Post Office pub in town not long after it came out about the experience of playing with Crazy Horse, He said he`s never known a better bunch of musicians and that he was a bit scared playing alongside them initially.
