I love him already, he's absolutely made for Liverpool Football Club.

Hopefully we play some pass and move stuff more often, he's built for that type of football.

He's got a lovely pass on him, but the move part? Not so much. Aquilani now, that's a player that passes the ball, and then immediately moves into space to receive the ball back again.

just sayin'

Wait until you see the opta stats - he moves more than you think.

I'd doubt it, i was actually really impressed with his work-rate last weekend, even if he could only keep it up for 60 odd minutes.

But not so much his actual movement though, in terms of making himself available for the pass, and once passing it, then quickly moving to find space again. Henderson is always doing that kind of thing though, Aquilani would be the same. What i would call 'pass-and-move' players.

He's quickly become one of my favourite players. I love his style of play and I love to watch the ball at his feet. If he improves a little more defensively, he'll be a great player for years to come. He'll be worth plenty of goals for us, both in set pieces and in open play.

I agree. I think he'll be a triple threat: He'll score goals himself, he'll provide assists from set-pieces, and he'll also make situations that turn into goals. Could well be a bargain.

People have to keep the faith with signings like Adam and Henderson because these are the types of players Liverpool teams were bult on, players who didn't at first appear to be world beaters but who were chosen because they had the skills and attitude to slot into a team built on passing and hard graft.

Ah Section, it would be a lovely world if people listened to your wise words.

Unfortunately, knees have already jerked and the knives are already out for some our recent signings.

He's been trying too hard and trying to do too much to impress which has led to him losing the ball, making clumsy tackles and over or under hitting passes.

This game should hopefully settle him down and get him to play his normal game because he's good enough to be here.

Got to agree with this, definitely trying too hard,

I think that can be said of Henderson and probably Carroll too.

Definitely more to come from him once he settles down a bit, but he is looking good so far. I think I said somewhere earlier in this thread that his corners alone might be worth an extra 10 points to us this season and I still thank that's true. Actually, it could turn out to be more.
