There's been talk for a while that all wasn't well between the new owners, especially when it comes to money.

Foster can't even be arsed sitting in a chair and the 'franchise' at the moment isn't looking like reaping any quick rewards.

So far they haven't invested enough for them to need to stay in order to 'get something back'. Ground hasn't been broken on the stadium etc..

If the CL doesn't go to plan and the fans really make their presence felt, hand on heart, what are the chances of them all giving a collective 'fuck this!' In your opinion?

Do they have the stomach for anything other than a smooth and lucrative ride?

If we don't win tonight there will be a standoff. G&H will have their reason to sack Rafa. The only thing stopping them doing so will be the demonstration of support. My fear is that they will underestimate the loyalty of the supporters and believe they can be turned 'round with a high profile quick-fix appointment. I, sadly, don't think they'll walk away.

Maybe I'm clutching at straws I don't know, but the friction between the two over money and spending and their total underestimation of the current fan reaction just gives me the feeling that they don't quite know what they've let themselves in fot. And 'going back' wouldn't be such a big deal for them because they've invested fuck all in real terms.

I think that really is best case scenario, however I think that should the result not go our way tonight that Cath is spot on.

Best case scenario? Who knows.

But it would be nice if Hicks (as the main agitator) decides he doesn't want this, and he sells out to Kraft (of Patriots). Kraft and Gillett form new partnership and both have much better working relationship with Rafa. No debt is put onto the club (this is what Gillett wanted). The stadium is built and it is onwards and upwards all the way.

An alternate might be that DIC come in and buy out the Americans. Fan power shows G&H that they won't be able to dislodge Rafa so they decide they haven't the stomach for the fight. Besides, selling up is good business for them, since the stadium costs have escalated and the terms of the loan are not as favourable as they anticipated, due to global financial factors.

G&H make a small profit, but DIC basically save the day because Answari (sp?) is a genuine fan and he knows he/they can help.

DIC remove Parry and put their own man in place. Their own man is extremely competent, he backs Rafa with the players he wants and he ensures a world class stadium is built immediately.

The new stadium is packed out week in week out to see Rafa's incredible champions. The cost to build is being repaid rapidly due to increased revenue. Even if the new owners want to sell (and why would they, since it is all going so well), the club is on a great platform, with a world class squad, world class manager, world class stadium and world class off field business. the whole operation is self sustaining and the reds can look forward to many years at the top.
