This agent is 100% one of the bad guys, mate.

I can easily see an argument that the club might be in the wrong in this situation, or at least partly in the wrong, but even so, this particular agent is an obvious chancer. He had to ask twitter to clarify what a "loan with obligation to buy" was just a few days ago. He has multiple postings of completely unprofessional behaviour on public forums. He's pretty much impossible to defend.

So yeah, you can say that Edwards and Inglethorpe might have, behind closed doors, promised Duncan more than they could deliver in terms of a pathway to the first team. What you can't argue is that his agent hasn't then substantially damaged his career prospects by throwing a public temper tantrum about it instead of handling it internally.

Relationships rarely end up in this state without some blame on both sides. But you're spot on, the agent is clearly a complete tit. I know Duncan is young and desperate to progress his career and if Liverpool don't see a path for him and don't want to offer him a new contract, regardless of if he likes it or not and if he thinks it's fair or not (that the club want a big fee), he needs to suck it up and see out his last year of his contract and then he can go where he likes. If he didn't want to commit to the length of his contract, he shouldn't have signed it. I'm sure another 30 goals in the u23s for Liverpool won't do his career any harm, the actions of his agent could have fucked up his whole career.

As for Liverpool, the way we signed him shouldn't have provided too much of a shock that we ended up here.

He’s not getting what he wants unless he wants his brand to be a clown show overnight. If he didn’t give a shit what anyone thinks of those tweets he would have left them up. He’s on damage limitation precisely because of what people will think of them and how it may impact his business.

You need a bit of that.

That's a grand deal for both Ryan and Rangers. He needs regular football, which he will get there and we need to sell him, as another loan had been ruled out.

Good luck to Ryan Kent, he's a good lad and a decent player.

Steven Gerrard will get the best of him and that's about his level currently.

He may well turn into a Premiership player eventually, but for now, it's a deal that suits everybody.

I suspect that there will be a sell on clause included.
