to the US conservative movement she's a patron saint, they'll be having a major sad this week. She was never regarded very fondly here in Canada as we have a very liberal tilt, we were never comfortable with her closeness to Reagan (widely feared and despised in Canada). Our most unpopular PM this century (Mulroney) was a huge Thatcher suck up so that was more or less the kiss of death for her as far as Canadians were concerned.

There will not be a silent observed minutes silence for her north of watford.

I'd be surprised if they even bothered.

Fucking evil slag.

The will not be a minutes silence in mine or me Grandads houses in Watford either

I hope the FA don't force us to honour a minute's silence or wear black armbands at Reading for that witch. Not for her, not ever. Definitely not days before the anniversary of the 96.

Of course they will.

The FA old duffers would have loved her.

My hope is that some of the players refuse to wear them.

Cant see it though, how good will it look if the FA`s England Captain refuses to wear it.

There will be no silence from our end of the Reading game though

I expect there to be minutes silences at football grounds across the land for the Hillsborough anniversary this weekend. The FA dare not tie Thatcher's death in to these silences and have a joint silence for both events. That would be a disgrace.

Now that would be awkward!

Not a chance I'd reckon. Newcastle and Sunderland are playing on Sunday as well, talk about an event to bridge the divide.
